Pete Davidson has opened up on his relationship with Kate Beckinsale, proving he’s got no bad blood with his exes.
The pair dated following Pete’s split with fiancée Ariana Grande, setting tongues wagging then they played tonsil hockey with their own alongside Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski.
But amid all the memes and the intrigued punters curious as to this fresh celebrity pairing, Pete, 26, has nothing but lovely words to say about Underworld star Kate.
Dishing all on his past relationships in a soul-baring interview with Charlamagne Tha God this week, Pete dubbed 46-year-old Kate ‘one of the funniest people I’ve ever met’.
Well, we follow her on Instagram, Pete – we could have told you that.
He added: ‘F**king legendary, all of my uncles freaked out. Also, f**king hysterical, really, really funny…she’s really cool.’
The pair were first linked at a Golden Globes party in January last year, however come April they were said to have cooled off their romance.
Saying it ‘wasn’t the right time’ for them because he was heading into rehab, Pete added: ‘She was very understanding and cool.’
On his exes in general, Pete was asked extensively about them one by one, which isn’t an easy thing to be hurled at in an interview. However, Pete was a legend as he spoke highly of his former loves.
‘I’ve been very fortunate and lucky to date some really wonderful, beautiful, cool, talented women and with that comes [distraction],’ he said of how his dating life meant he was tabloid fodder. ‘I’m aware there’s sh*t but I do think I get it a little harder than most. But that comes with the territory.
‘It looks like I’m a wh**e, but I’ve only been with those girls pretty much. So I’ve only been with five-to-six people, if I was a girl, I’d be a virgin. And they were at least three-to-six months [long relationships]. I’m not just like running through stuff.’
He also addressed his recent split with 18-year-old model Kaia Gerber, saying he didn’t think it was fair for Kaia, who he had been dating since October last year, to take on his ‘issues’.
While addressing his engagement to Ariana Grande, Pete also said it was around the time of the death of Ariana’s ex Mac Miller that he knew they were done.
