Jason Zhang reposted thisJason Zhang reposted thisTwo years ago, we received our licence from the MAS, and made a commitment: to build in Singapore, for Singapore. Since then, we’ve put that commitment into action. We’ve deepened our roots here, grown our team and built a community of clients and partners who share our belief in the future of digital assets. Those relationships have shaped our approach and deepened our understanding of what clients expect from a trusted, locally regulated platform. There is still much more to do. As the industry evolves, our focus remains the same. To our clients, partners and everyone who has been part of our journey, thank you for growing with us. We look forward to building the next chapter together. A message from our CEO, Gracie Lin:

Jason Zhang reposted thisJason Zhang reposted thisRWA is cooking. 🔥 Tokenized stocks and equity perps have already become the second-largest liquidity market on OKX among users across Europe, APAC, and other international markets, excluding the U.S. As liquidity and market depth continue to grow, onchain equity markets can become an increasingly important venue for global price discovery and a powerful hedging tool for financial institutions. Traditional finance is moving onchain faster than many people realize.

Jason Zhang reposted thisWe are hiring! A 10-minute agent demo can look magical. A 10-hour agent run is where engineering begins. The more I work with agents, the more I think we are framing the problem incorrectly. We keep asking: how intelligent is the model? For long-running agents, the harder question is: How much intelligence can a system safely absorb before unreliability overwhelms it? An agent that runs for minutes can get away with a surprising amount. A slightly wrong assumption. A redundant tool call. A missed dependency. A small piece of context drift. Over a long enough trajectory, none of these stay small. 99% reliable per step is not 99% reliable over a hundred steps. And this is where the problem starts looking less like “prompting an LLM” and more like building a real system. The model is a probabilistic decision-maker operating inside a stateful, changing environment. It will misunderstand things. It will take unnecessary detours. It will occasionally be confidently wrong. And if you simply give it more context, more tools, and more time, you often give those errors more room to compound. So the interesting question becomes: what has to exist around the model for useful work to remain coherent over long horizons? How should state be represented? Where should the system trust the model, and where should it distrust it? How do you prevent one bad decision from contaminating everything downstream? How does a system recover instead of merely retry? And perhaps most importantly: how do you design the environment so that better models make the whole system better, rather than simply making failures more sophisticated? I increasingly think this foundation — the harness around the intelligence — will be one of the defining engineering problems of the agent era. The strongest agent systems won't just have better models. They will be better at containing uncertainty, preserving state, detecting drift, and turning probabilistic intelligence into dependable execution. The model matters. But so do the foundations underneath it, and the harness that keeps it honest. This is one of the areas we're spending a lot of time thinking about at OKX Core Trading Product: how to make AI genuinely useful on complex, high-stakes work, not just impressive in a short demo. There is a large gap between an agent that can do something once and a system you can trust to keep doing useful work. That gap is engineering. If this is the kind of problem you find yourself thinking about — agents, systems, evaluation, reliability, or complex domains where correctness actually matters — my DMs are open, or apply directly here (based in Hong Kong or Singapore): https://lnkd.in/gDAzn2H6 Top talent welcome. So are the people who care more about whether a system still works at hour ten than whether it looks brilliant at minute ten.

Jason Zhang reposted thisJason Zhang reposted thisWe're hiring a Staff Mobile Engineer for our P2P & Fiat team — and we're specifically looking for someone with deep domain expertise in fiat payment channels. If you've built or scaled cross-regional fiat payment integrations — local bank transfers, e-wallets, third-party PSPs across global offshore markets — this role gives you full ownership of the mobile fiat-to-crypto conversion journey. AI-assisted development is also part of how we work — Claude Code, Codex, or your own agentic workflow. If payment rails and PSP integrations are your world, let's talk. Jason Zhang shared thisAn invincible partnership.Jason Zhang shared thisOKX began building its presence in Europe in 2018. Over the past eight years, we have worked closely with regulators and the broader crypto community, operating with integrity and a customer-first philosophy. As a technology company evolving into a regulated fintech company, we have made mistakes along the way, but we have always faced them directly, learned from them, and acted quickly to improve. OKX was the first company in the world to obtain a MiCA license, and we also hold Payment Institution (PI) and MiFID licenses. Today, we offer EUR on-ramp and off-ramp services, zero-fee stablecoin card payments powered by the Mastercard network, hundreds of crypto spot trading pairs, and a wide range of crypto, commodity, and equity derivatives. We have also built a comprehensive Agentic infrastructure, enabling customers to interact with our platform through AI agents. In addition, we have many innovative products in development that will continue to deliver cutting-edge experiences to customers across Europe. We were also the first global platform to continuously publish Proof of Reserves (PoR) for more than 40 consecutive months, helping establish what has now become an industry standard for transparency. In addition, our group financial statements are audited by a Big Four accounting firm, reinforcing our commitment to financial governance and accountability. With hundreds of employees based across Europe, we are committed to providing secure, innovative, and trustworthy crypto and fintech services to users throughout the European Union. We are building not only for today’s financial system, but also for the next generation of on-chain finance and AI-driven financial services.

Jason Zhang shared this💡A good series for reading.Jason Zhang shared thisStatista projects that active AI agents deployed across businesses will surge from 28.6 million to over 2.2 billion by 2030, not to mention the personally owned agents. We are witnessing the bloom of a new AI Agent Economy that no one has seen before. And Agent payments are the foundation that enables smooth value transfer to support this new economy. Given how expansive the Agent Payment concept is, I break it down into three distinct payment scenarios: → Agent-to-Merchant (A2M) → Agent-to-Service (A2S) → Agent-to-Agent (A2A) Each surfaces different payment dynamics, different product opportunities — and a distinct role for stablecoins as the connective tissue running through all of them.

Jason Zhang reposted thisJason Zhang reposted thisThe future of capital markets will not be built by crypto alone. It will require technology, regulation, institutions, and public policy working together. That is why we are excited about the partnership between ICE and OKX. We have also brought together leaders with deep experience across these fields, including former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, to help navigate this transformation. The convergence of traditional and digital finance is no longer a theory. It is happening now. https://lnkd.in/gzU9qDSX

Jason Zhang liked thisJason Zhang liked thisI wrote about something we’ve been talking about internally for a while: The Agentic Banking Era. There’s been a lot of attention on agents buying things for people, and rightly so. But I think there’s another really big use case inside companies: agents managing more of the money itself. For that to work well, the agent needs the full context of the business and financial infrastructure it can actually act on. We’re already starting to see pieces of this at Airwallex, so I wanted to put down how I think it plays out from here. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/euR3ZBME

Jason Zhang liked thisJason Zhang liked thisStill early days, no stealth, but I'm launching something... One thing I noticed during my time as CTO at OSOME was the explosive popularity of MCPs and Agentic work. It was incredible to see non technical people build amazing tools and use different MCPs to solve specific problems. Mosan Ali built our new Payroll system, Sharon Johal built a performance dashboard, Carlos N. built an internal sales tool. Even our CEO Eugenio F. created a fully integrated GTM tool. It's truly unprecedented. None of them know tech like I do, and they impressed me. But one thing bothered me, It was very difficult to know if they use external services safely or if they use tools that make sure private information is safe, we have policies sure, but information is all over the place. There's no tool today that unifies this. It was doubly burdensome as we just closed OSOME's ISO27001 and SOC2 certification audits. So I'm launching Durin. Yes, from Lord of the Rings 🧙🏻♂️. An MCP control gateway that lets you control, monitor, audit your organization's agentic usage. ✅ Monitor, Approve, and Deny MCP usage ✅ Enterprise Active Directory Sync ✅ Can be used with any Agent ✅ No seat-based billing ✅ Audit-ready reports for ISO27001 and SOC2 Follow Durin to get more updates, and if you, or your CISO has this in mind right now. Let's talk! 👉 getdurin.com

Jason Zhang liked thisJason Zhang liked thisBetween TOKEN2049 and F1, Singapore has kept me so busy that I almostttt forgot to share my 4th anniversary at OKX! 4 years of learning, trying things I had never done before, and growing with OKX. I’m forever thankful for this journey! The me from 5 years ago would never have imagined sitting across the table from Vietnamese regulators, lawmakers, bank CEOs, and some of the biggest creators in finance/crypto. I felt like such a small fly in that world. None of this would have happened without the trust and opportunities given to me by OKX leadership Star Xu Hong F. Netero D. Louis Tam 🫶 There have been many milestones, but 2025 and 2026 hold a special place in my heart. Part of that journey involved traveling with a little human growing inside me 🤰 , working to make sure OKX took its first steps in Vietnam the right way, it feels like having two babies at the same time 😂 And we did it! To my Vietnam and BD teams, thank you for trusting, supporting, teaching me, I am so lucky to have you as my colleagues, teammates, & friends 🙏 To whoever I have worked with, learnt from, joining meetings, having just a quick or indepth discussion: THANK YOU.

Jason Zhang liked thisJason Zhang liked thisAfter 8 great years at Meta, I’ve left to start a company. I’ve wanted to do this since college. This past year, I got married (and AI pilled), which is the push I needed. It’s exciting and scary, but thankfully, I get to do it with the brilliant Maria Hollweck, my co-founder. Maria spent 9 years rising through the ranks at Meta to staff software engineer. Since leaving Meta, she’s been shipping AI apps, some of which have gone viral. We're building AI marketing tools for small business owners who would rather be running their business than learning how to be a creator. The idea came from people close to us. Our parents and many of our friends run their own businesses. The story is always the same: they know how critical social media is to growth, but they don’t know how to do it well and don’t want to hire expensive consultants. Tbh, I can relate. Even making this post was hard, but felt necessary. We don’t want to automate it all away, though. We’re for the owners who are scared AI slop will cheapen their brand. They’d happily share a few details about their week if someone would just ask, then turn it into content they can be proud of and take the rest off their hands. Personality is a small business' best marketing (a lesson from my brand strategy days before Meta), and ironically, we think AI can help get more of it out there. How can you help? We're in learning mode, not selling anything yet. If you or someone you know runs a small business (a studio, cafe, salon, restaurant, clinic, shop, real estate agent, online store, etc.), does marketing for them, or builds software for them, we'd love to talk. Comment, DM, text, or email me, or send an intro. It’d mean a lot. And to my Meta teammates: thank you. I learned more from you than I can fit in a post, and I'll miss you

Jason Zhang liked thisJason Zhang liked thisAnother brilliant night! Huge thank you to Goodnotes for hosting our CPO Connect event last night in a fantastic space and for the great food and drinks (and cool name tags). The only thing that made it better was the company and conversation! The chats were exactly what this community is about, but switching from a whatsapp community to real life made it even better: everyone talking honestly about the challenges they're really facing, from AI Atrophy to Neurodivergent Leadership and the epic conversation in the Empowered product teams: reality or fiction? A big thanks to the facilitators - Gemma and Caroline to name a few 🤗 Next up, an online book talk with Martin Eriksson in October, and celebrating a one-year anniversary of the community with the other Friday lunch founders (Gokul Raju, Jessie Rushton, Scott Weiss, Gregor Young, Shiv Khuti, Erik Schwartz & James Engelbert). https://cpoconnect.club/ #ProductLeadership #CPOConnect

After spending the last two years embedding AI into our company’s operations, we’ve learned a few things. Success with AI isn't just about technology, it's about creating the right foundation to scale it responsibly. In this article for The Financial Revolutionist, Dash's Chief Technology and Operating Officer Tan Truong shares how our team moved beyond experimentation and embedded AI into our operating model. The key lesson: governance isn't a barrier to innovation. It's what enables organizations to move faster, build trust, and drive meaningful results. Read the article here! https://lnkd.in/e6mZwhKD

Grab just made a telling fintech move as growth expectations cooled. The company agreed to acquire US fintech Stash Financial in a deal initially valued at $425M. At the same time, Grab forecast FY2026 revenue of $4.04B–$4.1B, a touch below the $4.13B analysts expected. In practice, this reads like a push to widen the business while the core platform’s momentum slows. A few implications worth watching: - This is distribution buying product. Grab has reach across Southeast Asia; Stash brings a consumer investing and savings stack that can be repackaged for new markets and user segments. - It signals margin pressure in “super app” economics. When ride-hail and delivery mature, financial services become the logical place to look for higher lifetime value per user. - Cross-border fintech is getting more normalized. A Southeast Asian platform buying a US consumer fintech hints at a playbook shift: acquire regulated rails and talent rather than build slowly. - Expectations management matters. Guiding below estimates while announcing M&A suggests leadership is prioritizing longer-term mix over near-term headline growth 📉 Big picture: platforms are converging on the same endgame—own the customer relationship, then layer money movement, savings, and investing on top. The hard part isn’t features; it’s trust, compliance, and distribution. Would you rather see Grab build its own consumer investing product, or buy capabilities like this? Follow Untangling Web3 — the podcast that simplifies tomorrow’s tech, today. Source: Techmeme
