Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
Fanta replied to Smithydog's topic in TT News & Current AffairsThat’s simply not true. The U.S.’ vassals in the EU have always supported the war. They banned diplomacy then ostracised any EU leader that engaged in diplomacy with the Kremlin. This is all a matter of public record. -

Fanta replied to Thaiger's topic in TT News & Current AffairsIncentives determine outcomes. If I am well funded to fight racism, I will find racism everywhere to ensure my cash cow never dies. If I need to share some of my funds to keep the cow alive, I will do so. The same rort is occurring in many government funded programs - homelessness in California only ever goes up, everyone in Minneapolis has “learing” difficulties and ever land whale needs food stamps to buy anything but real food. We need the Hunger Games. -

Fanta replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsThe Iran war is the end result of Netanyahu lobbying every POTUS for the last 40 years to attack Iran. He finally got the right patsy in Trumpstein (the Epstein files must hold reputation destroying stuff ). And Iran didn’t kill 35,000 protestors in a few days. That’s an outright lie. Team Epstein ran their well honed regime change operation using well paid people, retarded liberals & spies to foster a “people’s revolution”. That failed and Iran rounded up 3,000+ MOSSAD agents for public execution. Trump begged them not to. So now they are probably rotting in an Iranian jail or the desert. -

EdwardV replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsBetween January 2021 and July 2023, prior to the escalation of regional conflicts in October 2023, Iran was involved in at least 26 harassments, attacks, or seizures of foreign-flagged vessels: 2023: Iran seized at least three tankers in the spring, including the Marshall Islands-flagged Advantage Sweet on April 27, a Greek tanker on May 3, and the Oil Tanker Purity around May 9. In July 2023, Iranian vessels attempted to seize the TRF Moss and Richmond Voyager, firing on the latter. 2022: In May 2022, Iranian forces seized two Greek tankers, the Delta Poseidon and Prudent Warrior, in the Persian Gulf in retaliation for a US seizure of Iranian oil. 2021: Iran seized a South Korean tanker, the Hankuk Chemi, in January 2021, and an Emirati-linked tanker in August 2021. - AI So, do you.

Iranian Protests
EdwardV replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsEpic Fury is not a momentary action. It is the culmination of 47 years of war waged by the Iranian regime against the United States, its allies and even its own citizens, having allegedly killed more than 35,000 protesting Iranians last month. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/trump-s-iran-war-was-47-years-in-the-making-here-s-how-opinion/ar-AA1XG9ED It may seem that the US and the Middle East are currently embarking on yet another forever war. But the truth is that this is just the latest instalment of an undeclared military conflict between the two nations that has been ongoing since the 1980s. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/iran-war-trump-history-us-b2938932.html What lie are you going to say next, that Ukraine attacked Russia? 😝 To be fair, he would know better than you. There are no disagreements in a theocrasy/dictatorship regime which leads to multiple polices. You have a disagreement behind closed doors and then the guy in charge decided which direction to move forward. The three branches of the Iranian government are currently fighting it out for dominance. And yet he canceled the last negotiations and has repeatedly turned down Iranian offers for a permanent ceasefire. Your "clearly" seems muddy.

Fanta replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsNovember 2025: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) seized a Marshall Islands-flagged vessel and its cargo. 2019: Iran was linked to limpet-mining several ships and seizing vessels in the Gulf of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz. Fanta replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsEveryone knows Team Epstein started this war. EVERYONE. The U.S. admits it. Your proof of alleged Iranian internal disagreement is the ravings of Trumpstein, the man you have repeatedly advised us to ignore what he says and focus on his actions. His actions clearly show a hunger for dialogue with Iran. Iran remains a theocracy. The regime remains intact. Claims to the contrary are falsehoods propagated in support of the infowar. -

Iranian Protests
EdwardV replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsThey have been chanting that for 47 years, and yet some pretend the US started this war. Funny how that works. Yes, because the past recipe of letting Iran do as they wish and not retaliating worked so well. 🙄 Let's just say there is a reason Iran is begging the US to not strike them again. They never use to say that. Makes a difference. The proof is on the ground. Why else is Iran incapable of negotiating without one side or the other undercutting their talks? The regime is no more; problem is they haven't come up with its replacement.

Fanta replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsTeam Epstein’s new lapdog says what? The world had freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz . Team Epstein turned it into a war zone and maintains a blockade. Meanwhile, Secretary Bessent posted a tweet just today saying the U.S. has total control of the Strait. So which is it? Total or not? These people are borderline mouth breathers. -

Fanta replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsThis attitude of impunity is why the “terrorists” chant Death to America and Israel is the Devil blah blah blah . The U.S. attacks Iran because Israel the colonial ethnostate asked it to - that’s a fact. The U.S. bombs the bejesus out of the place, kills Iran’s most revered nutters & negotiators plus 100+ schoolgirls for shits & giggles. Now Team Epstein mistakenly believes it can further oppress the Iranians then just take its bat and wrecking ball and go home without repercussions. This is a recipe for further conflict in the region and exactly what Israel wants. How Trumpstein extricates America from this sordid mess will be a sight to see. And, of course, telling the world what a glorious victory it is despite moving the goal posts multiple times and banning the other team from even being on the field. Madness. -

EdwardV replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsBy the time you're reading this, the United Arab Emirates, the world's fourth-largest oil exporter, will have left the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries after nearly 60 years of membership. In an existential blow to the historically indomitable oil cartel, the Gulf monarchy announced that it would instead "respond to evolving market needs" by adjusting production to "take into account global supply and demand." ... But the UAE's withdrawal is less about short-term economic interest and more a declaration of liberation from the political failures of decades of global Iranian appeasement. And the UAE's desire to fully realign with the imminent victors of the Iran War: the United States ... Unlike a faucet, an oil field cannot be shut off and simply turned back on again. Instead, the "pause" of oil production more likely turns into the clogging of the pressurized valves and veins that moved the product, rendering reservoirs inoperable after a "shut-in." Iranian theocratic leadership boxed in The useful idiots of the West may try to argue that the mullahs can find a way out of basic petrophysics, yet the UAE sees the writing on the wall. Iran is not resorting to stuffing 29-year-old, retired tankers and tiny trains with oil to China, and sending its foreign minister back to Pakistan for negotiations abandoned by the Trump administration, because it is operating from a position of strength. Iran, rather, is finally facing a consequence that would indefinitely end its ability to fund its 47-year Shia Islamic authoritarian rule, not just temporarily ask it to swallow some pain in pursuit of outlasting the U.S. The end of the war is now a matter of when, not if, and the UAE no longer wishes to be throttled by OPEC's delusion that it is capable of curtailing American export power. While OPEC produced more than half the crude on the planet in 1973, it now comprises less than 30% of global production. By contrast, the U.S. has tripled its share of global crude production in the past 18 years. The UAE is wise enough to know that once this war is over, the deluge of pent-up demand is ready to be released, and the U.S. and its vassals will be ready to profit through volume, not artificially elevated prices. The UAE is ready to leave the central planners behind and join a victorious West. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/in-abandoning-opec-for-the-free-market-uae-sees-iran-writing-on-the-wall/ar-AA22an5D?uxmode=ruby&ocid=edgdhpruby&pc=U531&cvid=69f4c27f2d6b4e97bdb667c82e20c5bc&ei=101 The UAE has already figured out who has won, and it's not Iran. Underlining the concerns of the Gulf states, UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash said the "collective international will and provisions of international law" were the primary guarantors of freedom of navigation through the strait. "And, of course, no unilateral Iranian arrangements can be trusted or relied upon following its treacherous aggression against all its neighbors," Gargash wrote. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/uae-says-iran-cannot-be-trusted-over-hormuz-peace-efforts-at-an-impasse/ar-AA229jRF?uxmode=ruby&ocid=edgdhpruby&pc=U531&cvid=69f4c27f2d6b4e97bdb667c82e20c5bc&cvpid=077159dec5894345a4bf2001cf4a1b4d&ei=13 And they want everyone to know it.

EdwardV replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsRegime change has already happened, and yet it wasn't part of the original plan. HTH President Donald Trump said today he is dissatisfied with Iran’s latest negotiating proposal to conclude the war, and cast doubt on the country’s ability to ever accept a deal. “They want to make a deal,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “I’m not satisfied with it.” He did not spell out precisely what in Iran’s latest document he could not accept, and went on to suggest officials in Tehran may never come around to a negotiated settlement to the war. “They’ve made strides, but I’m not sure if they ever get there,” Trump said on the South Lawn, describing “tremendous discord” among Iran’s leaders. “The leadership is very disjointed,” he said. “It’s got two to three groups, maybe four, and it’s a very disjointed leadership. And with that being said, they all want to make a deal, but they’re all messed up.” https://www.cnn.com/2026/05/01/world/live-news/iran-war-news?post-id=cmon4lxgf00003b6ubtgxmzuc There are reports the air bridge has been running full the last few days, bringing in munitions, kit and personal from the US. The navy has also spent the last few days replenishing its ships. If the trigger gets pulled, the magazine will be full. That said, this is the third attempt by Iran to beg the US to not attack them again. Speaks volumes if you are willing to hear the music.

Fanta replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsRegime change was the lynchpin of a military exit plan. It failed. Everything that has followed is cope and dwindling hope. Trumpstein abandoned the JCPOA then attacked Iran. Now he needs Iran to agree to some variant/premise of the JCPOA so he can withdraw U.S. Forces. Otherwise the U.S. military is stuck in the ME for a long, long time, which is exactly what Netanyahu wants. Iran was never a threat to the world. Israel wants to be the supreme power in the region so it needs to diminish it’s perceived enemies. So here we are…. -

Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
EdwardV replied to Smithydog's topic in TT News & Current AffairsRussia’s GDP fell 0.3% in the first quarter of 2026, reversing modest growth from 2025 and marking its first quarterly contraction since early 2023. The downturn hit non-resource industries hardest, with a 0.7% drop, alongside a 10% fall in construction and a 3.4% decline in freight turnover. Regional finances are also under pressure, with combined deficits tripling year-on-year to 1.478 trillion rubles, underscoring the economic toll of war and sanctions. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/insight/russian-economy-contracts-as-navy-suffers-major-losses/gm-GM96E42EA7?gemSnapshotKey=GM96E42EA7-snapshot-1&uxmode=ruby&ocid=edgdhpruby&pc=U531&cvid=69f4b31350bc4be88b0189b5a80c0381&ei=7 Keep in mind this is with Moscow dumping trillions of debt fueled rubles into the MIC, and the economy is still failing. Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK), Russia's largest steelmaker and one of the top 20 globally, аnnounced a significant loss for the first quarter of 2026. The facility reported a net deficit of 5.9 billion rubles ($64.1M), nearly five times higher than the 1.23 billion rubles recorded during the same period last year, according to The Moscow Times on April 30. https://united24media.com/business/russias-largest-steelmaker-reports-fivefold-increase-in-losses-18385 The signs are there, if you are willing to see them.

Ukraine/Russian Conflict - General Discussion
EdwardV replied to Smithydog's topic in TT News & Current AffairsThe strike follows a separate Ukrainian drone attack on the same Perm facility on April 29, with long-range drones targeting the station in an operation carried out by the Alpha special forces unit. Each tank at the station can hold up to 50,000 cubic meters of oil, or roughly 314,000 barrels, making the strike potentially significant for fuel storage and transport operations. The Perm station is a major oil transit hub used for receiving, storing, and pumping crude through Russia’s main pipeline network. Located in Russia’s Perm Krai, east of Moscow near the Ural Mountains, the facility forms part of the broader infrastructure network that handles a significant share of Russia’s domestic oil flows. https://www.msn.com/en-us/public-safety-and-emergencies/general/russia-s-perm-oil-station-struck-for-2nd-straight-day-by-ukrainian-drones-fires-reported/ar-AA224lDC?ocid=BingNewsSerp The Ukrainians hit Perm two days in a row. This strike is significant for two reasons. First, it's the main transit hub for just about all the pipelines headed west out of Siberia. Those that go to the Black Sea, Europe and the northern loading ports. Take out Perm, and you cut off 60% of Russian oil transit. Brutal to say the least. Second, it shows the Ukrainians can strike out to some 1,800km. Meaning there is little in the way of Russian MIC and economic assets that Ukraine can't reach. Never mind it's also a clear sign the Russian air defenses have pretty much collapsed. Photos of black smoke blanketing the sky over the city of Perm are circulating online. An "oil rain" later fell in the Russian oblast — local residents noticed black spots on their clothes, cars, and buildings. The exact same "rain" was spotted by residents of Tuapse, where Rosneft's oil infrastructure continues to burn after three drone attacks since April 16. Russian ecologists state that the black color of the smoke in Perm Krai, as in Tuapse, is a direct sign of a high concentration of soot with adsorbed carcinogens, which settle down as "rain" and pose a severe threat to human health. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/general/black-smoke-and-carcinogens-blanket-perm-after-oil-facility-attack-video/ar-AA21ZMgP?ocid=BingNewsSerp The videos coming out of Perm and Tuapse are almost apocalyptic. Massive fires which last for days with heavy black smoke and oil rain blanketing the populated cities. You do see the tanks were in fact protected by anti-drone netting which offered little to no protection. “For us, here, there is a war going on. Just now, they [Ukraine] hit Tuapse, and not a little. We are being hit everywhere,” Solovyev erupted during a conversation with a Russian female beauty influencer named Viktoria Bonya. “The thing is, there is a part of our society for which there is no war. Which doesn’t want to accept the war. Which doesn’t want to see it.” ... A speaker identified as a retired Russian army officer in a comment published on the opposition channel @kargopult5 on April 22 took military leadership to task and even dared suggest Russia should admit defeat and leave Ukraine. “Have you seen what is going on in Tuapse? It is the utter humiliation of all Russian armed forces. They have turned the country into a pass-through courtyard [Russian: прохолнй вор]. Where is the might of Russian weapons? Where are our designs that have no comparison? I have said, and I repeat again: The first thing is to establish order. And only then to ask for trouble [Russian: лезть на рожон]. We need to immediately review the objectives of the special military operation, and turn away, before it’s too late,” the man identified with the surname Shamanov said. Some Kremlin loyalists have predicted the situation with Ukrainian drones will get even worse. https://www.kyivpost.com/post/75030 That speaks for itself.

EdwardV replied to Tippaporn's topic in TT News & Current AffairsOf course there is an exit plan, it's been repeated time and again. The blockade is crushing the Iranian economy, inflation is out of control, the revenue has been stopped, and they are scooping up all the funds outside of the country. No country can sustain that for a long period, none. If needed, they can always start bombing again, destroying critical infrastructure and any remaining MIC. At worse, he can set Iran back 20 plus years and leave in place the crippling sanctions of before. Is it everything Trump wanted, no. However, it's still pretty good for what is nothing more than a special military operation. What two front war? With China? Besides the fact this special military operation will be over in the next 2-3 months. The Chinese don't want anything to do with the US Navy and are incapable of invading Taiwan now and probably in the future. Interestingly it's the Ukraine war which has proven that.
