First a plea, please do not hijack this post subject by banging on about Covid. plenty of other posts are boring the crap out of many of us by doing that. let's for once move on from there to other areas of health. Bit of background; my First Degree, obtained very many years ago from Nottingham Uni in the UK, is in Biochemistry. You would expect a certain cynicism about alternative Chinese Medicine from such as I, but I have been a follower, and user, of such medicines for many years. Living for a few years in Hong Kong and Taiwan helped the exposure to this branch of health. I have treated colds, ( not Covid!) , sore throats, tummy issues and lately gout, arthrit…

Recently, Kratom has been decriminalised & is now a legal herb. https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/general/2169411/kratom-now-listed-as-legal-herb My son bought a small bag of the leaves just before Christmas, boiled them up & strained it. He added a packet a Lipton Tea to make it palatable, otherwise it tastes bitter. I drink a small glass of it - 150 ml or so, & it gives a very good night's sleep, without the 'hangover' that some compounds can give. It also is a great pain reliever. I get the backache, leg aches etc, & drinking Kratom occasionally, makes it go away. I've inserted a link from a drug abuse website. I think that K…

I came across this a few days ago, as a pain killer it seems to be an effective treatment as a nerve cell blocker, than looking into it more I found out it has a lot of other therapeutic possibilities. The one thing that was stressed is that it will draw what ever is on the skin into the bloodstream, the skin needs to be 100% cleaned preferably with medical grade alcohol solution before applying. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimethyl_sulfoxide Lots of how to websites and videos on the net, at least it's worth a look in my opinion.

Over the years I’ve read about the issue with excessive omega 6 fatty acid being an issue with old age disease/ decreasing lifespan / being unhealthy, a lot of people blame processed vegetable oils to be one of the reasons for increased omega 6 fatty acid intake. I noticed lots of longevity/anti aging scientists/doctors talk about a recent study showing increased omega 3 fatty acid intake to increase lifespan. here’s the study a lot of people are mentioning https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2021/07/210722113004.htm anyone take supplemental omega 3 fatty acid? I’ve been taking high concentration epa/dha omega 3 supplements for a wh…

Thailand has had a long string of frustrating recommendations for lowering the risk of Covid-19 transmission from curfews to masks to hand sanitiser and social distancing. But a new recommendation from the Health Department may have crossed a line. Avoid Covid-19: Don’t have sex. The Health Department’s Director of the Office of Reproductive Health made a statement today that is bound to put a kink in people’s… kink. He advised that sex is a health risk during the spread of Covid-19 and people should avoid it. The doctor said that anyone who suspects they might have Covid-19 or are awaiting […] The post Health Department warns: Avoid Covid-19, don’t have sex appeared fir…

I just wanted to comment on what Tim said about hydroxychloroquine. I do not know where he gets his information, but in the USA it has shown to help in the recovery for people infected with Covid-19. There are many of doctors that used it and have prescribed it to their patients for years for other illnesses with no side affects. These doctors were shut down by YOUTUBE, Facebook, and Twitter because they were covering for the CDC. The CDC in the USA is a political department and does very little to help humanity. The fact is that Fauci gave US tax payer money to China to develop the Covid-19 virus. This was against the US law at the time he did it. China developed …

I am all for simple activities that can improve my health...this age old (yoga inspired) activity, the honeybee breath increases the amount of nitric oxide in your body (blood and lungs specifically). The article has some pretty high powered contributors including " Lou Ignarro, Ph.D., an emeritus professor of molecular and medical pharmacology at UCLA who won a Nobel Prize for his findings about nitric oxide." Metformin is being researched for its potential to slow aging and the diseases that come with aging. Originally a diabetic medication but they found those who took it lived significantly longer and has less diseases (heart disease, cancer, etc.) than those who didn't (were on other treatments for diabetes). After scientists looked into the mechanism of action, they believe it has the potential to reduce instances of old age diseases and increase lifespan. If interested, the TAME study is the current study and it seems like it's very well organized by Nir Barzilai. Keep in mind the study isn't specifically to prove that Metformin can increase lifespan, but to p…
