Dear all, there are very different informations available on the internet about the operating (or after the Covid years not operating) ferry companies and their time tables from Samui to Phangan (Thong Sala), does anybody definitely know how the situation is and where to get a reliable information? I need to go to Phangan from Samui Airport, arrival on aiport at 11:05am. It would be good to start from a pier next to the airport. Thanks in advance! Matthias

The Jungle Club Restaurant boasts a menu of traditional Thai, French, Italian and Mediterranean dishes all prepared by “Chef Wally”, our culinary expert with over 30 years of experience. Taste his extensive selection of delicacies that combine both Thai and Western fusion arrangements. SOME EVEN SAY HIS COOKING SURPASSES THE MAJESTIC VIEW ! Settle in to enjoy a meal on our comfortable, colourful bean bags situated on one of the open wooden decks or choose a more traditional setting under the main straw dining room. Sip on one of our Jungle Club signature cocktails and watch the island illuminate as the sun goes down while listening to our wide selection of musi…

Poppies Restaurant is firmly established as one of the leading restaurants on the island, where you can dine under the stars overlooking the beach in an open sided thatched 'sala', or in the magnificent Ayuthaya style solid teak pavilion beside the pool. The bar has the most awesome view overlooking a pristine beach and across clear blue waters to the horizon. What also makes Poppies a must visit location, even if one isn't booked into their luxurious resort accommodation, is the extensive tropical garden with rock-pools. Visitors may pass through reception and out to the gardens or, by invitation and especially when raining, be shown through the 'secret' tun…

Does anyone know if the Molotov bar is still in existance? I was trying to connect with a guy named Ray who used to run that bar, but I lost track of him.

Transiting from Chiang Mai, fully Pfizer vaccinated and have Thai vaccine passport. BKK airlines is referring you to a Thai website for latest info for various parts of the country, I don't read Thai. Any kind of quarantine or such? Thanks in advance!

I note that the authorities fine 44 people for breaking Covid rules in Koh Samui and if the authorities make these laws wether they are good or otherwise we as residents should comply. So can anyone tell me what was the outcome of the Black Bamboo Club in regards to fines for hosting a number of all night parties and breaking Covid rules ?????

I am just reading the Phuket news and note that business owners are asking for the alcohol in Restaurants ban to be lifted. Well we have the same ban in Koh Samui which I find doesn't make any sense and I am informed that any bars & restaurants are selling alcohol. Can someone explain to me what the authorities see as a Covid liability having a couple of beers or some wine with dinner in restaurants. I can understand enclosed bars, clubs disco's etc being a risk like the Black bamboo club saga recently. Anyone can go to any supermarket or convenience store, buy as much alcohol as they wish and consume what they like with very little policing and often not followi…

When I think of the word "scheme" , I picture a bunch of thieves planning to rob a bank or some other type of criminal behavior. A scheme is a plan but I think a better word should have been chosen for the reopening of Thailand. But maybe its fitting because like most schemes, this has been bungled and poorly executed. "No tourists will arrive in Koh Samui tomorrow, the first day of the island’s reopening under the “Samui Plus” travel scheme, similar to the “Phuket Sandbox.” Only 4 foreign tourists are expected on Friday." Hmmmnn, why is that I wonder? Because people don't want to spend their time and money to fly half way around the globe to sit in a hotel or have to go …
