Hi everyone, let’s start a cooking thread for posting the pictures of the dishes we like to cook. And maybe add some advice or information about the dish. So we can share information and help each other :) I will start: I like to cook Gai pad med mamuang (chicken cashew). I add 15 chilis and make the chicken pieces a little bigger, soak first. Sometimes I can’t get the texture of the red peppers right. But nice!

With red cooked pork and a lump of palm sugar, these dry-style noodles definitely skew to the sweeter side of hot-and-sour. Absolutely addictive. Any good bets for finding these in Bangkok or other major cities? This photo was taken at a shop in the Si Satchanalai District, about an hour north of Sukhothai Historical Park. (I have been to สมทรงโภชนาวัดสังเวช in Bangkok, a bit up from Phra Athit pier, and it was decent but insanely slow.)

Apologies for my laziness but I know many people have beer prices at their fingertips. I am looking for the price for a box of 24 x 330 Tiger Light and also 24 x 330 San Miguel ZERO. MAKRO or local beer wholesalers - just an indication.

pa-tong-ko are long golden-brown deep-fried strips of dough made from wheat flour. If you haven't seen them before, here's some: (image credit: https://cookpad.com/th/recipes/7987852-ปาทองโก-สตรไมใสแอมโมเนย ) They are very popular and really only for sale in the early mornings. For twenty Baht you can have a really big bag full, freshly cooked. If you ever thought of making your own, there's a Thai youtube video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXxK0fflpGw Until I started looking for an image of one, I hadn't realised there are a lot of other countries producing a very similar food: China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Ind…

If you’re brave enough to try them, you might find that they’re very flavourful. So, if you want to delve […] The story Bizarre Thai food only for the brave as seen on Thaiger News. Isan, the northeastern region of Thailand, is possibly the most underrated region in the country in terms of tourism. However, its delicious cuisine dominates the Thai culinary scene. I enjoy cooking, one of my all time favorite leisure activities. Today's attempt at excellence is a Indian style, seafood Curry. Prawns, salmon, squid, scallops, in a Korma type source. I add peas, baby carrots and half cream to give it a little more 'depth' of flavor, served with rice or pasta. Total cost of ingredient's was 1,200 Baht, but it will serve 4, or last 4/5 days for one. My mouth is watering already. 😆

Now normally anyone would be more than happy to have a full bottle of water. As a real ale drinker from the UK I always expect a full pint of beer - excluding the head. Don’t snigger boy. That's an imperial pint btw (568ml), not a US pint (473ml). The bottles of water we buy are absolutely full to the top – right up to the plastic screw-top. When I hold the bottle to open the screw top, there’s always some water that spills out. Even though I keep the bottle on a flat surface to avoid tipping it or squeezing it unnecessarily, as it’s a soft plastic bottle. Which means that really I should get up from my desk and go into the kitchen or the bathroom to open it, …

Each region in Thailand offers a distinct and unique variety of dishes. Some of Thailand’s most delicious dishes come from the northern part of the country. Set among mountain valleys with a cool climate, Northern Thai Food is highly influenced by Burmese cuisines. In addition, it’s relatively mellow compared to Northeastern (Isaan) cuisine. Below, we’ve compiled some of our favourite Northern Thai dishes. 1. Khao Soi (Curry Noodle Soup) Khao soi is possibly the most popular Northern Thai food, and it should be on top of your list when trying Thai food. Just look at this disg... sorry, typo, delicious food ( as they call it) 🤣 No, really, let's not. But if everyone in the UK was it would save the NHS 30,000,000,000! Where do some of these extremists get their figures from - TAT? I was a vegetarian for a while, around 10 years ago, but that was largely due to wanting to lose weight, which I did. Wasn't too difficult, took two weeks to adjust. Don't like Tofu though. In the end, I succumbed to a bacon sandwich... https://metro.co.uk/2022/01/06/veganuary-nhs-could-save-30000000000-if-everyone-went-vegan-15840675/
