Lyle Fong 已轉發Lyle Fong 已轉發Super excited to drop some big news today! Lago just raised $22M, led by FirstMark. 🔝 We're powering billing for leading companies such as Mistral AI, Swan, Together AI, and many others, and we're scaling up! This journey wouldn’t be possible without our early believers and adopters, so, you'll be at the top of my thank-you list. Keep cheering us, keep slapping us. Your inspiration drives us, and we'll continue to make things that don't scale: share instant discussions in private Slack channels with you. 💰 Achieving buy-in from Series B+ companies and proving our value in the market has been a thrilling confirmation of our product-market fit. Since our journey with Y Combinator began, Anh-Tho and I have been steadfast in our vision: embrace openness, but don't win by being cheaper! I constantly remind our team, "Open everything, be transparent. Let competitors pore over our code if they wish; our focus is not on them, but on blazing our own trail." Charging for our services hasn't deterred us from offering an unparalleled development experience to the 1,200+ open-source folks in our community. This unique blend of openness and quality is our unassailable edge. We're committed to continually enriching this community, investing in what truly sets us apart. 👁️ Billing? It’s just the beginning. We see it as the opening act to something way bigger. Think of Lago as your open revenue hub—where engineers, finance, and biz teams play nice together, crunching numbers and shaping revenue strategies. 🏆 Excited to announce we're joining forces with the best! Eyeing our Series A, I hit it off with Matt Turck from Firstmark right away. Why? Beyond his meme game, he truly got our vision, just as we envisioned it. Firstmark's history with open source and dev tools is no joke—Cockroach Labs, Clickhouse, Astronomer, Dataiku, to name a few. Big shoutout to NewWave (Jean de La Rochebrochard and Pia d'Iribarne) for being those late-night problem-solvers and cheerleaders, making us feel like we're the only focus. Huge thanks to Oana O. from SignalFire too, for being the early believer in Lago, for spreading the love and care every time we're in SF (and not only), making us feel right at home. 👥 This milestone is all thanks to our amazing team. Their dedication, user focus, and drive for innovation are what make Lago thrive. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Mathieu Déjean, Jérémy Denquin, Michael Ponrajah, Lovro Colic, Romain Sempé, Vincent Pochet, Ivan Novosad, Alexandre Monjol, Vitap Ramdevputra. We're growing in tech, product, marketing, and sales, and we're on the lookout for folks who are as excited about our mission as we are. Come join the ride! And big thanks to Anh-Tho Chuong for being an amazing co-founder. Through the highs and lows, pivots to finding our market fit, you've been an unstoppable force by my side! Your inspiration and resilience are what every founder dreams of having in their corner. Let's get back to work!Lago Blog | We raised $22 million to build an open-source alternative to traditional payments & billing platformsLago Blog | We raised $22 million to build an open-source alternative to traditional payments & billing platforms

Lyle Fong 已分享Lyle Fong 已分享Was Y Combinator really worth it? Giving away 7% of the company is a lot, did we 'need' to do it? How was it to not ✈️ to San Francisco and do it all 100% remote? At Lago (YCS21), Raffi Sarkissian, Cyril Hagege and I are asked these questions on a daily basis, so I decided to write a post about it in Sifted (🙏 Eleanor Warnock), and to add insights from other EU founders of the batch: Ahana Banerjee of ClearApp, Louise Bayssat of Hera, Maria Terzi of Malloc (YC S21) . I'd also like to thank the amazing community of YC alumni who supported us in the journey: Lyle Fong, Hassan Bourgi, David Rusenko, Christophe Pasquier, Arthur Bonnecarrere, Holly Liu, Austen Allred, Alexandre Louisy, Tom Nguyen and our group partners Nicolas Dessaigne Gustaf Alströmer Harj Taggar !Taking part in Y Combinator from Europe: is it worth it?Taking part in Y Combinator from Europe: is it worth it?

Lyle Fong 已分享Lyle Fong 已分享🙌 Team announcement Lago (YCS21) is backed Y Combinator and we (silently) launched ! 👉 What is Lago, you say? Lago (YCS21) is a no-code tool for growth teams, to segment and sync. customer data. We aim at making data accessible and usable to anybody, starting with growth teams. 👷♀️ After 5 months of intense building, we silently launched at the beginning of August. We instantly forgot about these very long work days and nights when when we received this message from one of our 1st customers: "I’ve done in minutes what used to take me 6 months! And we have already won back 10% of our churned users!" 👋 What can you get from Lago? No back and forth with engineers to get the right data in your favorite tools, meaning improving: - User acquisition - Product activation - Sales productivity 🙂 How is that possible? Lyle Fong 已發表感受Today, we welcome Phillip Chambers to the Balderton Partnership. I have known and worked with Phil for close to 10 years. In that time, I have seen him build an exceptional and inspiring career as a founder, operator and angel investor in the European technology ecosystem. It is an honour to have him join Balderton as a Partner in our early-stage team. Although Phil joins us as a Partner today, he has been deeply connected to Balderton for many years. In 2016, Phil co-founded Peakon, an employee engagement platform. In 2018, with Phil as CEO, Balderton led a $22m investment round in Peakon. In 2021, Peakon was acquired for $700m by Workday, one of the leading enterprise software companies in the world. Phil continued as the General Manager of Peakon at Workday, growing the business to hundreds of millions in ARR. Phil is a true technology-focused entrepreneur. He has spent time as a Computer Scientist, Product Manager and Chief Technology Officer at companies such as Gumtree, Qype, Podio and Citrix. His affinity for product and software runs through everything he has built. Most recently, Phil has turned his attention to deep tech and, more specifically, space innovation. He served as the CEO at Orbex, the Scottish space launch company, working at the edge of one of the world’s most important technological frontiers. Phil's experience building and scaling Peakon from a European startup to a global business acquired by a US enterprise giant gives him a unique perspective as an investor. He knows firsthand what it takes. For the founders he will now support, that perspective is invaluable. Phil’s experience, energy and down-to-earth character will be a huge asset to our portfolio and our Partnership. Phil - a warm welcome to Balderton, the VC for Europe!Lyle Fong 已發表感受Today we announced Phillip Chambers has joined Balderton as Partner. Now, you can hear directly from him. Suranga recently sat down with Phil for a conversation that covered the full arc of his career - from what first drew him to tech and his early career moves, through to building Peakon and leading Orbex, and what he took from each chapter. Beyond his operating career, Phil has been one of Europe's most active angel investors, backing more than 100 startups. At Balderton, he'll use that hard-won experience to support founders as they build and scale their businesses across Europe. Get to know Phil by watching the full interview below 👇

Lyle Fong 已發表感受Lyle Fong 已發表感受I'm delighted to say I'm joining Balderton as a Partner. I got to know Bernard when he led the Series B in Peakon, having already worked with Daniel at Qype. Since then, I've spent a lot of time with the rest of the Balderton family and many of the amazing portfolio companies. I am honoured to join such a fantastic group of people. Over the past 20 years, I've had the privilege (and the pain) of building technology companies across Europe - through Gumtree, Qype, Podio, Peakon and Orbex. What’s stuck with me is how non-linear it all is: the difference between a middling and a great outcome often comes down to a few key decisions and a lot of persistence. Having the right people on the board helped me. It also feels like we're entering the most interesting period I can remember in technology, where small teams can now build products that would have looked like magic when I started. At Balderton, I'll be focused on early-stage and will work with founders from the get-go. If you're building something that will change the game, I'd love to hear from you.

Lyle Fong 已按讚Lyle Fong 已按讚🥳 𝗜 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗜𝗧! 𝗜 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗴𝗲 (𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹...𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗹𝘆) Earlier this week I posted that I was about to get my 2nd NOYU report back. It arrived today. My biological age decreased from 34 to 29. My first NOYU test flagged high cholesterol, inflammation 4x the healthy level, low vitamin D and testosterone. With my family history of heart disease and stroke, these were the markers that mattered most. But NOYU didn't just flag the problems. It looked at the life I was actually living - new dad, six hours of sleep, lack of consistent exercise - and told me what to change first, in a way that actually respected my existing life situation. A few months later: 𝗟𝗗𝗟 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗹: 3.75 → 2.91 (I'm just about in the healthy range, but not yet optimal! This is something NOYU is going to help me improve on) 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: 0.46 mg/L (healthy level) 𝗩𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗗: 57 → 104 nmol/L (nearly doubled and now in optimal range) 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗴𝗲: 34 → 29 ⚠️ But it's not all good news. My testosterone dropped further the lower edge of normal. NOYU connected it straight to my sleep - still six hours a night with a one-year-old. It was honest: pushing harder in the gym won't fix this. Sleep and cardio is what I'm missing. NOYU helped me shave 5 years off my biological age: not from a complete lifestyle overhaul, but from the right small changes at the right time. 𝗔𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗺𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, 𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗡𝗢𝗬𝗨 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻.

Lyle Fong 已發表感受Lyle Fong 已發表感受One chapter closes. A new one begins. For a decade as Co-Founder & CEO of LeanData, I had a front-row seat to a frustrating reality: Despite billions spent on sales software and automation, B2B sales hasn’t actually improved. The buying experience has arguably gotten worse. The data is sobering: Average sales quotas are effectively the same as they were in 1999, yet attainment is stagnant or declining. We’ve optimized the machinery, but the friction remains. Too many B2B deals still feel like a 1980s car dealership. When you compare the seamless transparency of buying a Tesla/EV to the average enterprise cycle, the gap is glaring. It’s also becoming unsustainably expensive. In 2026, the cost to acquire customers is at an all-time high—up 60% in just a few years. The "more humans, more friction" model has hit its limit. We are reimagining this from the ground up. In January, we closed a $3.5M+ pre-seed round from my previous investors including Jason Pressman at Copper Sky Capital, Andy Cohen, David Hartwig, Brian Melton, Ravi Mohan, Godard Abel, Matt Garman, Katy Keim, Kelvin Cheung. Introducing: Pareto Agent. We use AI Agents to deliver a white-glove, personalized experience for every B2B customer at scale. Our goal is to trigger Jevon’s Paradox: by drastically lowering the cost and friction of trade, we won’t just save money, we will drive a total transformation of how goods are exchanged in a $4T market. My CTO, Maurizio Greco, and I are looking for Founding Engineers. We have the capital and the domain expertise. Now, we need the builders. We aren’t building wrappers; we are architecting agentic workflows to solve real-world economic bottlenecks. If you want 0-to-1 ownership of a foundational pillar of the global economy, let’s talk. Japan’s SaaS ecosystem just reached another milestone: LayerX secured a $100M Series B led by TCV. The company is building AI-driven automation tools designed to scale globally, with expansion plans in Asia and North America already in motion. This investment reflects a growing trend of global investors engaging with Japanese startups at later stages, recognizing both product excellence and the international potential of SaaS built in Japan. For founders, it’s also a signal that global scaling is no longer optional—it’s an expectation. For venture capital, the case of LayerX is a reminder of the importance of cross-border capital, strategic alignment, and talent mobility. These elements will define how Japanese SaaS companies transition from strong domestic players to global category leaders. #VentureCapital #SaaS #LayerX #JapanStartups #GlobalExpansion Details: https://lnkd.in/gF25g-uR

Jensen on how SEGA saved NVIDIA by converting the final $5M payment from a failed contract to develop a graphics chip for the Sega Dreamcast console in 1996. Sega 3x'd that investment when Nvidia IPO'd three years later (in the often annoying 'hindsight is 20/20' category, that investment would be worth about $1 trillion today. Sega made the right call at the time though to sell). Great story, and shows the importance of being honest and humble in business.

[Smilegate & VTCO Partner to Establish Vietnam's First Fully Compliant Open Game Platform: STOVE Vietnam] Smilegate has signed an MOU with leading Vietnamese media group affiliate VTC Online (VTCO) to bring its game platform STOVE into the Vietnamese market. Together, the two companies plan to build the only open game platform in Vietnam that fully complies with local laws and content regulations. Under this strategic partnership: - Smilegate will provide the platform, technology, and overall operations. - VTCO will leverage its national media group background to handle regulatory review, compliance, and local business development. The joint goal is clear: to establish a legal and official open distribution channel for games, secure domestic and international content providers (CPs) looking to enter the market, and discover and nurture promising local developers. Leveraging its status as a major publisher under the VTC media group, VTCO brings extensive experience from operating Smilegate’s CROSSFIRE, alongside its national footprint in payment services, esports, and media network infrastructure. Given Vietnam’s tightening regulations on open platforms and restrictions on global ESD (Electronic Software Distribution) services, this collaboration aims to position STOVE as the **only legal open game platform** in Vietnam and a key gateway for domestic and global game companies entering the market. We are targeting a beta launch of “STOVE Vietnam” for Q2 2026. I’m very interested to see how this collaboration between Smilegate’s platform capabilities and VTCO’s regulatory and local network strengths will shape the Vietnamese game ecosystem and how STOVE Vietnam can grow into a strategic hub for global developers targeting the region. #Smilegate #VTCO #STOVE #VietnamGaming #GamePlatform #GamingPartnership

Just back from ChinaJoy 2025. It’s no longer just a gaming expo. It’s a proxy for how China is reshaping digital culture, IP economics, and the global tech-industrial stack. At first glance, it’s what you expect: cosplayers, flashy booths, and swarms of Gen Z fans. But beneath that surface, something deeper is unfolding. 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝘇𝘇𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 — 𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽. • 743 exhibitors from 37 countries, with internationally funded firms making up 31.8–31.9% of the total and ~45% in the B2B hall • Countries like Russia and the Czech Republic exhibited as dedicated groups. • Shanghai launched a “Game Going Global” guide and new developer conference (CIGDC) aimed at ecosystem-level export. 𝗪𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 — 𝘀𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗹𝘆, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆. • Tencent shared how their internal tools accelerated game asset creation by up to 40×. • NetEase showcased dynamic quest systems in titles like Sixteen Sounds of Yanyun, responding to player behavior. • AI isn’t yet everywhere, but it’s not just a backend tool anymore—it’s edging into player experience design. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁? 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿. • For the first time, ChinaJoy introduced a dedicated Creators’ Zone. Over 100 fan communities reimagined more than 50 IPs via doujin art, handmade merch, and signing events • This marks a transition from controlling IP to cultivating it alongside the community. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. • ChinaJoy expanded into 15 Shanghai districts, with themed pop-ups, animation trails, and co-branded retail activations. • It wasn’t just an exhibition in Shanghai—it was Shanghai itself being remixed by subculture fans. 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 — 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. • Major global esports events, including TI and CS:GO Majors, are calling Shanghai home. • The city has recognized Game Art Design as a university discipline, signaling a policy shift toward nurturing creativity. • A livestream shopping event tied to the expo generated over ¥35 million in sales—proving experience-driven commerce works. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵? This wasn’t just a product showcase. Most people see AI for kids as personalized stories. That framing is too small. The bigger opportunity is persistent character memory, evolving worlds, and children as creators instead of passive consumers. The generative AI opportunity is to create less to consume. When a story remembers you and grows with you, it becomes a generative platform. John Kobs and the Giant team understand this deeply. As a girl dad, he lives the customer experience every day, at home, on playgrounds and at school pickup. It’s a conversation we parents have everyday about preparing our kids for the world of AI. That perspective shows up in the product and in the ambition behind it. As a girl dad, I can relate. That is why we backed Giant. AI native storytelling will create the next generation of media franchises, built interactive from day one.

A great addition to Walden Catalyst Ventures portfolio, as we are thrilled to announce Amperesand $80M Series A round, which we are co-leading with Temasek AI is redefining the limits of computing, but one thing many overlook is the power that fuels it. At WCV, we believe that without a revolution in how electricity is delivered, the AI explosion cannot scale sustainably. Amperesand is doing exactly that. Their Medium Voltage Solid-State Transformer (MV SST) platform enables high-power AI data centers, critical infrastructure, and electrified megawatt loads to deploy faster, more efficiently, and with far greater flexibility. Led by CEO Brian D., whose clarity of vision and deep technical grounding have shaped the company from day one, Amperesand is assembling a world-class team to transform how the next generation of compute gets powered. Over the next year, the company will deliver its first commercial systems, support secured pilots with hyperscale AI and critical-power customers, and continue building engineering and manufacturing capabilities in the U.S. and Singapore. At WCV, our mission is to catalyze breakthroughs in semiconductors, cloud, data & AI, and the infrastructure that underpins them. Amperesand reflects that mission perfectly. Congratulations to Brian D. and the team at Amperesand, and to my partners Young Sohn and Francis Ho who led WCV investment. #DeepTech #AIInfrastructure #PowerTech #VentureCapital #WaldenCatalyst with: Young Sohn Lip-Bu Tan Shankar Chandran Francis Ho Andy Kau Roni Hefetz Temasek Russell Tham TDK Ventures Phil Inagaki Xora Innovation Marc Bouchet https://lnkd.in/eadusa2z

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴. 💡“𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲, 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.” This isn’t about lowering ambition. It’s about pacing greatness. By focusing on a simple, winnable product and executing it flawlessly, you earn the right to try again, round after round, until the long-term vision unfolds. 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻. 💡𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀: ➡️ 𝗪𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻: 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁. 𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴. ➡️𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗥𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗹𝘆: 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝗰𝗿𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹-𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. ➡️𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗹𝘆: 𝗔 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗮 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀. ➡️𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. Great companies aren’t built in a single heroic push. They’re built by founders who master the art of earning one more game. Focus on the next win, keep your product simple, and give your vision the time to grow into something extraordinary. >Your Secret Weapon for US Expansion is in Taipei< During the "LA Landing Taiwan" panel I moderated, I asked the MOEA's Dr. Chien-Cheng Tai about government support. His answer went far beyond grants; he described the government as an "invisible angel" for startups. His key insight for Taiwanese founders was to view government programs not as funding, but as strategic de-risking for your US launch. Here's the playbook he shared: >Funded Reconnaissance: The MOEA sends 20 startup teams to the US annually for a 3-month program with top-tier partners like UC Berkeley's SkyDeck. >>Insider Knowledge: This program is designed to help you understand complex US laws and regulations before you're on the ground. >>>Network Foundation: It facilitates the initial connections that are so hard to build from scratch. ....My takeaway: Don't just chase private capital. Leveraging this "invisible angel" first can give you an incredible, de-risked advantage before you even talk to a single US investor. #LALandingTaiwan #ThoughtLeadership #TaiwanStartups #GlobalExpansion #VentureCapital

How does strategic support change startup outcomes? At Mandalore Partners, we believe that funding alone isn't enough to scale fintech startups successfully. Our hybrid venture model combines capital with hands-on operational expertise, creating a partnership that drives sustainable growth. Take FinovateX, a fintech startup that partnered with us early on. Beyond capital, we collaborated closely on strategy, governance, and market expansion. Within 18 months, their revenue doubled and their customer base expanded by 150%. This demonstrates how integrating strategic support with investment accelerates growth and builds resilience. Founders gain not just funding but a committed partner aligned with their long-term vision. What's your experience with investor involvement beyond capital? #VentureCapital #VentureCapitalAsAService #VCaaS

Thank you to ITmedia Japan for featuring Wizly and the rise of AI Twins, showcasing our platform as an innovative way experts can scale their thinking and widen access to hard-won knowledge. This piece is written by Taka Hirano, a GTM expert who built his own AI Twin on Wizly to extend his impact beyond 1:1 time and has already seen the benefits of what happens when expertise becomes always-on, usable, and alive. In this article, Samir Khadepaun talks about the "why" behind Wizly. "Expert knowledge has been locked up for years inside big companies and large consulting firms, making it expensive and hard for most people or organizations to access. That creates silos and a deep knowledge imbalance between experts and those who need their insight. I want to change this structure entirely—not just make information easier to search, but make reliable, expert-grade thinking available when people need it." Knowledge doesn’t need to be hoarded, and it can work, circulate and create value every time it’s used.
