Have you every thought about thinking time? Well it is more important than you think (pun very much intended). Great ideas and solutions don’t come from thin air, they come from clear minds and space to mull information over, which can be hard when back-to-back meetings are a frequent thing. So consider this, thinking time is an investment in your business and allocate time in your calendar for thinking. You could even categorise the thinking into the below: Run the business (operations) Improve the business (optimisation) Reinvent the business (strategy/innovation) Remember...Thinking time improves decision quality ➡️ which can provide better planning ➡️ into long-term success

😃 😬 The behaviour bias when it comes to culture: Behaviour Doesn’t Spread Through Slide Decks. It Spreads Through People In teams, the real rules aren’t written in a policy; they’re modelled in meetings, response times, and everyday behaviour. If leaders show up curious, others follow. If emails are answered at midnight, that becomes the norm. If meetings start late or drift, that behaviour quietly compounds. https://lnkd.in/eTcQxS3a #behavioureconomics #thoughts #people

Longevity hiring, a concept for business growth and talent retention. ⬆️ Too many businesses hire reactively. Someone leaves, workload spikes, pressure builds and recruitment can become reactive rather proactively thinking about the future. The most resilient scale‑ups treat hiring as a necessity rather than a nice to have. With business growth comes demand and that will always fall on the people. Workload almost always increases before revenue catches up. The real question is whether your current team is set up to absorb that growth or whether the lack of planning will quietly cap your potential. Hiring early isn’t about overstaffing. It’s about buying capacity. Capacity to think, not just deliver. - Capacity to lead, not just cope - Capacity to scale up, not scale back - Capacity to light the fire, not get burnt out When headcount lags behind ambition, the cost shows up elsewhere, which can ultimately stall growth. So the questions we ask our clients when it come to their plans: What skills will we need next year, not next month? Where will pressure concentrate as we grow? Who can stretch with the company, not just fill today’s gap? Hiring like this is less visible than chasing growth headlines, it’s one of the most effective longevity strategies there is.

Behaviour economics: Turn loss Aversion into positive business gains Behavioural Economics teaches us that there is more emotion tied to losing than gaining, that to lose or gain something of equal value the former will weigh heavier on our minds. With this concept, it’s worth thinking how to retain and gain, when it comes to business in order to avoid losing out. Refrain retrain and restructure – look at outdated processes and plans; eliminate loopholes and flaws that could see your business fall short. Hire as a longevity hack – think in advance of what your business could need to meet your scale-up goals. If workload is likely to increase, are you ready to take this on, or will you lose out on growth because of lack of planning? Talent retention plan – does your culture and career paths align with what your top talent needs? With a weak plan or lack of follow through are you at risk of losing core colleagues? Great product but poor GTM plan – a brilliant idea is just that if it can’t be showcased correctly. Ensuring you have a solid GTM plan, and cohesive literature around what your company does is essential. Without this you’re likely to lose out on investors. #behaviouraleconomics #business

BEHAVIOURAL ECONOMICS AND BUSINESS Put simply, behavioural economics looks at how people actually make decisions. It combines psychology, emotions, cognitive processes, and cultural influences to explain why individuals think and act the way they do rather than assuming everyone behaves in a purely rational way. So why should you think about it when it comes to your business? #behaviour #economics #thought https://lnkd.in/gVNnMK56

HAVE YOU CONSIDERED WORKING AT A START-UP? Ever thought about a career change, but were unsure of working for a start-up? Working at a start-up may be at times very different to the traditional corporate or established set up, but it's a great environment where you get to see your ideas come to life fast, and feel like you’re making a real difference every day. But here are a few other reasons to consider. https://lnkd.in/e2Qe5URz #careers #startup #ideas

WELCOME TO THE TEAM - DEVON CHRISTIE! We are excited to announce that Devon joins us and brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience of recruitment in North America. “I love working the US market, the people are great, and have so much energy and positivity, which flows perfectly with my US focused role at Quanta. What drew me to Quanta was how strategic the whole business is and that the team are so genuine and informative. But a little about me is that I'm originally from Scotland but moved to Manchester where I now live with my two French bulldogs that are like my children!” Welcome to the team! We can’t wait for the exciting times ahead! #newteammember #us #recruitment
