Pietro Bezza reposted thisPietro Bezza reposted thisBREAKING: Project Europe company Zellify has raised a €3.1m Seed round led by Connect Ventures! The company, founded in Stockholm but now in London, enables mobile app developers to create custom web-based onboarding and payment flows outside the app stores. It was founded by Marcus Persson and Nils Nygren Liljenstrand, wha are, in typical Project Europe fashion, childhood best friends who have been building together since their early teens. At 14, the pair co-founded a Counter-Strike cheat code that scaled to over $150K in revenue. Last year Zellify became one of the first companies backed by Project Europe. Today the platform has already processed close to $10m in GMV across hundreds of thousands of transactions. It has just announced raising a €3.1m Seed led by Connect Ventures (Sitar Teli) and joined by Dreamcraft Ventures, Inovia Capital, FJ Labs, and Ventures Together, alongside some great angels including: 🚀 Sebastian Knutsson 🚀 Fredrik Hjelm 🚀 Jaroslav Beck AND MANY OTHERS Very exciting times. It's great to see the first batch of Project Europe companies already crushing it. Congrats Nils, Marcus, Kitty, Jade, Harry, Kieran 👏

Pietro Bezza shared thisWhen you know you’re winning on product and strategy — and your competitors are getting desperate.Pietro Bezza shared thisSomething interesting happened at one of our events recently. Someone working for a competitor signed up for a private event we were hosting. They were rejected from attending, then showed up anyway pretending to work for another, unrelated company - with branded swag and all - and spent the evening quizzing our team and talking to our customers. Throughout the conversation with our team, they consistently pretended to be from another company and asked all kinds of questions on how we differentiate versus that vendor, and so on. I think of competition as a great thing. It's a constant red team circling around your company and product. It finds weaknesses and exploits them (in this case, our event guest list) and makes you better. But when someone resorts to tactics like these, it signals 3 things: 1. They feel they can't compete on merit and product alone 2. Their integrity is case-by-case rather than principled - if they do that, what else are they ok doing? 3. Us doing well must have struck a nerve - I don't spend time infiltrating events of companies I don't worry about (or even the ones that I do worry about, fwiw) So this was a little flattering, but also very revealing. All that is to say: Keep an eye out for our events, they're so good even the competition wants in!

Pietro Bezza reposted thisPietro Bezza reposted thisWe met Marcus Persson and Nils Nygren Liljenstrand in Sweden in July 2025. Lifelong best friends, recent high-school graduates - with past stories and a future vision that told you everything you needed to know. The kind of founders who, at 14, were already building a Counter-Strike cheat code together that quietly scaled to over $150K in revenue. When they came back together to build Zellify we knew they were out to build their life's work. Today, they're announcing a €3.1M seed round led by Connect Ventures (Sitar Teli), with Dreamcraft Ventures, Inovia Capital, FJ Labs and an exceptional group of angels - Sebastian Knutsson, Fredrik Hjelm, Jaroslav Beck, Johannes Schildt, Kyle Parrish, Chris Mairs CBE. As of this morning Zellify 2.0 is available to the world - an AI-native Web2App growth platform helping subscription apps escape the 30% stranglehold of Apple and Google, from ad click to payment in a single stack. The teams that used to need fifteen people to run growth now need one person and Zellify. Lifesum runs on it. So does Opal, Teknasyon, and more. They've relocated to London and processed close to $10M in GMV. Marcus and Nils - you've been at the heart of Project Europe's first year. Getting to watch you turn your ambition (and wild work ethic) into the company you're building today has been the best journey. We're so proud of you. Pietro Bezza shared thisYES!!! Marcus Persson and Nils Nygren Liljenstrand are the archetype of founders we love to back at Connect: ultra-focused on value and customer needs, seeking unsolved problems in large markets, high-velocity, product-obsessed. And, yes, AI native 😇 Zellify is tackling an underserved problem at the intersection of consumer subscriptions and performance marketing: the data and infrastructure layer that tells you whether your marketing actually works. Kudos to my partner Sitar Teli for building high conviction and move fast in a high pace round dynamics. Also very cool doing this with Kieran Hill Project EuropePietro Bezza shared this📣 We've backed Zellify to lead their €3.1M seed round. 🚀 Marcus Persson and Nils Nygren Liljenstrand are exactly the type of founders we back at Connect: high-velocity, product-obsessed, and relentlessly focused on their customers. Only 20 years old, they're childhood best friends who've been building together since their early teens. Last summer, they launched Zellify and have already turned a €200K investment into close to $10M in GMV, with customers like Lifesum, Opal, Blinkist, and Teknasyon. Zellify is building the data network that powers the next wave of consumer growth, starting with an initial product that gives consumer app developers full attribution and a route around Apple and Google's app store fees, no engineering resources required. We're excited to back Marcus and Nils alongside our friends Project Europe Dreamcraft Ventures, Inovia Capital,FJ Labs, Ventures Together, Chris Mairs CBE, Sebastian Knutsson, Fredrik Hjelm, Jaroslav Beck, Johannes Schildt, and others. Pietro Bezza shared thisA new week, a new product from Aikido Security 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 Endpoint Protection: a new age virus scanner, for the non-binary world.Pietro Bezza shared thisToday we're launching: Aikido Endpoint Protection. The software supply chain is under attack. Your developer devices are the target. In March alone, TeamPCP compromised LiteLLM, Axios got hit, and companies like Vercel were affected through developer device attacks. Developer machines are the new Achilles' heel of the software supply chain. Aikido Endpoint protects devices from installing attacks across package registries, IDE extensions, browser plug-ins, and skills marketplaces. Think of it as a new-age virus scanner, for the non-binary world. We started with Safe Chain, our open source CLI firewall with 200k weekly downloads. Endpoint is the evolution.

For the past months we've been working with Davide Faconti, the creator of PlotJuggler, on a deep integration between his tool and Mosaico, our open-source data layer for robotics and Physical AI. Released today in PlotJuggler 3.17.0: ➡️ Browse and filter datasets stored in Mosaico directly from the PlotJuggler UI ➡️ Stream the topics you need over Arrow Flight: only the data you actually want to plot ➡️ Visualize multi-modal sensor data with the workflow PlotJuggler users already know On our side, we shipped the performance work on the Mosaico daemon to make this fast in practice. The philosophy is simple: each tool does what it's best at. Mosaico is the queryable, indexable storage for robotics data at scale. PlotJuggler is the visualization layer the community already loves. Building yet another viewer would have been a waste. Collaborating made far more sense. If you want to try it without setting anything up, we put a public sandbox at demo.mosaico.dev. Pietro Bezza liked thisHat tip to Glenn Weinstein, Alan Carson, ☁️ Lee Skillen, Morgan Gerlak & the team at Frontline Ventures - Cloudsmith is going to be the biggest venture success in Northern Irish history and will no doubt inspire more folks to swing big after them :)Pietro Bezza liked thisCloudsmith is growing up. Today's $72m Series C financing from TCV and Insight Partners will help realize our vision of managing and securing the world's software supply chain. Artifact management has always been at the center of that vision. It's a little un-sexy, it's tough to get right, but it's so mission-critical. It's really the only way for large organizations to be able to build software at AI speed and not have the wheels come off. Quick personal note. Being a co-founder of Appirio has always been a big point of pride for me. But leading Cloudsmith on our journey - watching this team take on ever-increasing challenges and deliver so brilliantly for our customers - it's a new high. I've got a spring in my step walking to our HQ in Belfast city centre, or through an airport, or across a conference floor, every single day as a Cloudsmither. I highly recommend to everyone who's on their "second act" (or third, or fourth!) to go out and build something. I wrote some thoughts (with ☁️ Lee Skillen and Alan Carson) - https://lnkd.in/eMrV_D8j We also did a quick video. Hollywood has no worries.

Pietro Bezza liked thisPietro Bezza liked this📣 We’re excited to back Cato AI in their pre-seed round alongside Italian Founders Fund,Vento, Moonstone Venture Capital, Alecla7, B Heroes, Nova Venture, IAG and a group of high-quality angels 🇮🇹 Cato AI is an AI-native platform that supports companies through every stage of public tenders: from identifying relevant opportunities to preparing and submitting bids. By automating the most manual and bureaucratic parts of the process, it allows teams to focus on what actually drives outcomes: winning proposals. We’ve known the founders in different contexts, long before this company existed. We supported Andrea Zorzetto early in his entrepreneurial journey and and saw firsthand how he operates under pressure: strong accountability, fast iteration, and a clear bias to action. We met Matteo Bossolini while he was still in school (!), where he stood out immediately: sharp, proactive, and relentlessly curious. Their working dynamic is strong: complementary skillsets, high ownership, and no wasted motion. They’re building in the Italian public tenders space: a complex, highly fragmented market that rewards focus and disciplined execution. What stands out is how quickly they’ve developed real depth, and how deliberately they’re building around it. This is only the beginning 🚀

💸SaaS startup MoEngage has mopped up an additional $180 million as part of its ongoing funding round 📍This takes the total deal size up to $280 million. 💵💵ChrysCapital and MUFG-backed Dragon Fund led the latest infusion. 💵💵Of the latest transaction, about $57 million was primary capital, with the remainder comprising secondary share sales and an employee liquidity programme. 💵💵The $15 million employee share sale allowed 259 current and former employees to partially cash out. 📈📈“We'll start looking at some inorganic opportunities to better complement our product offerings or accelerate our global expansion. We will also strengthen our AI suite, as we have seen rapid adoption of our AI capabilities,” said CEO Raviteja Dodda. 📈📈On a potential public listing, CEO Raviteja Dodda said Moengage is still evaluating its options. ✍️: Ajay Rag

In 2024, early-stage rounds made up a third of all UK VC deals, with seed rounds averaging £4.1 million and Series A at £17.9 million – the highest since 2021. But every successful fundraising journey starts with one critical document: the term sheet. Every term sheet is essentially a negotiation – but only if you know what to look for. 📄 In this latest article, Jas Bhogal highlights the red flags founders should look out for, including: 🚩 Loan terms that seem 'standard' but carry costly strings 🚩 Valuations that flatter upfront but erode long-term value 🚩 Giving away too much equity too early 🚩 Fundraising restrictions that limit future growth Read the full article linked below to understand how to protect your position and keep your business on track for growth. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/enY4ssZc #startupfunding #termsheets #venturecapital #corporatefunding #corporatelaw

Can’t believe January is almost over - 2026 is already moving fast 🚀 We’re onboarding new clients on both sides of the market: 🔹 Direct GP clients coming onto Entrilia 🔹 Fund administrators who are growing and onboarding additional AUM onto the platform 📈 To support that momentum, we’ve just shipped new migration + offboarding tools that make moving from legacy systems faster, more efficient, and more reliable - with less manual work and fewer surprises ✅ At ENTRILIA our focus stays consistent: best-in-class UX, support for complex multinational structures, and real-time APIs + secure data sharing 🔒 But 2026 is a shift for us. This is the year we go AI-first - not “AI as a feature,” but AI embedded into workflows. We’re using AI to solve two core jobs: 📥 Input - make data ingestion and reconciliation dramatically more efficient 📈 Output - generate the right results faster, more reliably, and in a way teams can trust And here’s the key point: the second job isn’t solved by simply exposing a relational database and calling it an MCP server. To produce outputs you can actually rely on, you need a deterministic semantic layer - a source of truth for definitions (capital, IRR, allocations, ownership, FX, hierarchies, etc.) that’s consistent, auditable, and repeatable. That’s the foundation we’re building agents on top of 🤖 Stay tuned - we’ll be sharing more soon. If you’re a GP and want to see how agentic workflows run on top of a best-in-class fund accounting system, book a demo via the link in the first comment 👇 and we’ll walk you through it.

Scaling fast? Your finance ops can’t run on heroics forever. At seed, rapid growth = complexity—more contracts, billing edge cases, equity comp, and investor asks. That “simple forecast” isn’t simple if the foundation wobbles. 3 signals it’s time to level up: 🔺 Month-end keeps slipping beyond a week 🔺 Runway isn’t crystal clear in one view 🔺 Investors want reliable, repeatable forecasts Your paths forward: ❇️ Hire a Controller: GAAP rigor, owned close calendar, audit-ready processes, institutional knowledge. ❇️ Outsource Accounting: Scalable throughput + specialist depth (bookkeeping, tax, fractional CFO) without a full-time seat. ❇️ Hybrid (our go-to for SaaS & FinTech): Controller as the internal “brain,” partner as the scalable “hands.” Where this really pays off: SaaS: ASC 606 done right, CRM→billing→rev rec→GL integrity, clean ARR/MRR/NRR, driver-based budgets and variance. FinTech: Daily settlements and reserves, chargeback/loss tracking, safeguarding of customer funds, SOC 2-aligned controls. We mapped a simple decision framework (stage, complexity, budget, timeline) and included a quick FinTech Essentials checklist at the end. Most fintechs focus on your wallet. But what if they focused on your wanderlust? Or your passion project? You're drowning in data about customer lifecycle and multichannel engagement. Everyone's tracking clicks. But are you tracking dreams? Here's the level-up: Stop just managing money. Start enabling lives. People don't save just to save. They save for that trip, that skill, that business idea. Your fintech holds the keys. Use your data – transaction history, in-app searches – to uncover these hidden aspirations. Someone's always buying art supplies? Boom: 'Creative Fund' segment. Constantly browsing travel sites? Hello, 'Adventure Seeker.' Now, activate these insights across channels. Send personalized push notifications through tools like Pushwoosh: "Planning that big trip? Here’s a smart savings goal, plus an exclusive deal on travel insurance through our partner." Use your app to create interactive challenges for specific goals. Imagine a "Side Hustle Launchpad" for your entrepreneurial users. Platforms like Cometly help you connect these behavioral dots. It's practical. It's powerful. This isn't just about retention. It’s about becoming indispensable. Your fintech isn't just an app; it's the co-pilot for their life's big adventures. That builds loyalty money can't buy. What's one non-financial life goal your users are secretly pursuing that your fintech could help make a reality? #FintechMarketing #CustomerLifecycle #LifeGoals

Klarna's IPO reveals what we've known all along - consumers demand flexible payment options that align with their cash flow realities. This lending giant's success story underscores a fundamental shift in how people manage their finances. But here's the thing: traditional solutions only scratch the surface of what consumers actually need 💪 They want payment flexibility that works with their paycheck schedule, not against it. That's where our Pay by Paycheck feature comes in. This groundbreaking solution helps banks, credit unions, and fintechs offer their customers the ability to split purchases across multiple paychecks - directly from within their banking app 🎯 Unlike traditional BNPL options that create rigid payment schedules, Pay by Paycheck adapts to each customer's unique income timing and frequency. With direct connections to thousands of payroll providers, we can automatically detect when customers get paid and offer personalized payment splitting options that actually make sense for their cash flow 🙌 The result? Customers get the flexibility they crave while staying within their primary banking relationship, and financial institutions capture more transaction volume and deepen customer engagement. Don't let your customers turn to external BNPL providers when you can offer them something better - payment flexibility that truly understands their financial rhythm 🎉 Learn more via the link in first comment.

Building a SaaS company means making decisions with incomplete information, fast. We created a closed mentorship community for UK B2B SaaS founders (Seed to Series B) who need clear answers from people who’ve already built and scaled. No courses. No generic frameworks. Just 1:1 access to vetted operators in marketing and engineering, inside a private network designed for focus, discretion, and execution. Capacity is limited. New members are admitted through a selective application process four times per year. If you’re a founder navigating real growth, technical, or go-to-market challenges, this is built for you. → Applications open during the next intake window.

Klarna’s story and recent IPO 🚀 📢 Article alert! We’re happy to share another regular BSVC report, this time diving into one of the most influential fintech ventures: Klarna. Klarna’s journey reflects a broader shift in fintech markets. After years of inflated valuations, higher interest rates and tighter regulation have pushed investors to prioritise profitability, cost discipline, as well as sustainable business models. The company’s return to public markets now clearly stresses the importance of strong fundamentals for successful fintech exits. Special thanks to Tomas Garcia Araneta for the detailed analysis of such a trending startup within a fast-growing market. LINK : https://lnkd.in/eEbgCYns
