From Dublin to London: inside a week representing Expedia Group at the Short Stay Summit. Our teams were thrilled to be in London for the Short Stay Summit, where Vrbo was proud to be title sponsor. Joined by Senior Manager Sinead Lim from the Dublin office, the week was all about partner connections, leadership insights and what’s next for the vacation rental market.

This Earth Month, Expedians didn’t just talk about sustainability, we rolled up our sleeves and got to work! 🪴 Across our global offices, teams stepped beyond their desks to support local communities and the environment. Here’s a glimpse of the impact we made: ♻️ Circular Economy: Turning recycled glass into beautiful tea coasters and decorated reusable grocery bags. 🌱 Local Roots: Bringing communities together with in-office farmers’ markets and hands-on garden workshops. 🌿 Green Living: Building terrariums, hosting swap events, cleaning up our neighborhoods, and enjoying eco-friendly eats.

Travel should feel effortless – and this partnership with Uber gets us one step closer to offering a seamless traveler experience. Here’s the TL;DR ⬇️ • Uber and Expedia Group are partnering to offer U.S. customers access to 700,000 properties in destinations around the globe. • Uber One members save at least 20% on more than 10,000 hotels worldwide. • Vacation rentals on Vrbo will be added later this year. • Following an initial pilot, Uber rides will be integrated directly into the Expedia app beginning in June.

Travel planning is more fragmented than it should be. Moving from inspiration to booking to getting there often means jumping between different apps and platforms. At Expedia Group, we are making that experience more connected; bringing more of the journey into one place so travelers can plan and move with confidence. That’s why we’re partnering with Uber. Expedia Group will power hotel supply on Uber’s platform, giving travelers access to hundreds of thousands of properties across 250,000 destinations worldwide. And Uber rides will be integrated directly into the Expedia app beginning in June, offering discounted rides for the duration of a trip — bringing together where travelers stay and how they get around in a more intuitive way. This is the flywheel at work. As the exclusive hotel partner supplier on Uber’s platform, we reach millions of travelers at the exact moment they’re deciding where to stay. When those same travelers use Uber rides embedded in our app, they remain within the Expedia ecosystem across their entire trip — not just at the point of booking. Each connection deepens engagement, strengthens the platform, and creates more value for travelers and partners alike. This partnership is about more than adding supply or features. It reflects our belief that the future of travel is simpler, more connected, and built around how people actually move through the world. I’m proud of the teams who made this possible, and excited to keep shaping what great travel experiences can look like through thoughtful partnerships and technology at scale.

Too many apps. Too many decisions. At GO–GET 2026, we shared how we’re taking the next step to simplify everyday life—bringing more of what you need into one place on Uber. Before Uber, I spent over a decade at Expedia Group helping people book travel. Of course, travel isn’t just about booking. It’s everything that happens before, during, and after the trip, and it still feels far too fragmented. Uber is already part of that journey for 200M+ people each month. We’re often the first app people open when they land in a new city. Now we’re expanding that role: helping you move, discover, and get what you need, all in one place. One thing I’m VERY excited about: Hotels are now on Uber. In partnership with Expedia, Uber users in the U.S. will soon be able to search, book, and stay at more than 700,000 hotels globally—right from the app you already use to get around. Even better: Uber One members will earn credits back on every booking, with additional savings across thousands of properties. We’ll also be adding homes through Vrbo later this year. It does feel like a full circle moment for me, and I’m super excited to bring the experience together for our customers in a way that just works. The goal is simple: make complexity feel easy—and give people their time back. Check out our post below to learn more about all of our exciting announcements. https://lnkd.in/gJjW7MSD

Last week I visited our technology teams in Gurgaon and Bangalore—my third trip to our India offices, and the most energizing yet. I traveled with Julia Elliott, VP of Technology and Chief of Staff, who was visiting our India offices for the first time. What she experienced reinforced what I’ve seen on every visit: exceptional talent, strong ownership, and a real drive to push boundaries. Teams aren’t just adopting AI—they’re building agentic ecosystems, orchestrating skills and agents to solve problems that would have taken months just a year ago. This isn’t incremental progress—it’s a step change. The AMAs in both cities were packed with thoughtful, candid questions—on AI adoption, platform simplification, talent strategy, and how we build for both travelers and partners. That level of curiosity and transparency says a lot about the culture we’re building together. That perspective felt especially timely. We recently published our AI Trust Gap Report: https://lnkd.in/gasnTSKm, which found that 68% of travelers prefer to book with trusted brands over AI platforms. It’s a clear reminder of the role we play—and the opportunity ahead. Our teams are building the technology that will make Expedia Group the place travelers trust—not just to search, but to book, manage, and complete their journeys. AI can inspire; we deliver confidence. To our teams in Gurgaon and Bangalore—thank you for the energy, ideas, and relentless drive to raise the bar. Looking forward to being back soon. Sharing a few moments from the visit below. #ExpediaGroup #Travel #AI #Technology #Leadership
