“Before a child can become a lifelong reader, they have to want to read. They have to find the book they can't put down, the character they can't stop talking about, the story that turns reading from something they have to do into something they love to do.” - Sasha Quinton, EVP & President of the Children’s Book Group at Scholastic This past Wednesday we had the honor to join Nasdaq for their Closing Bell Ceremony and to celebrate 45 years of the Scholastic Book Fair! Forty-five years in, our mission remains as energizing as ever: reaching more kids and helping them discover that book they can't put down... and then the next one! EVP & President of the Children's Book Group Sasha Quinton rang the bell, joined by our CBG leaders Ben Stone (CRO & Managing Executive, Book Fairs), Laura Lundgren (Chief Marketing Officer), and Jackie De Leo (Chief Merchant & Publisher), along with numerous other Scholastic colleagues who came out to celebrate, many bringing their own kids along for this special milestone. #BackToSchool #ScholasticBookFairs #SCHL #NasdaqBell

Yesterday, Scholastic rang the Nasdaq closing bell to celebrate the back-to-school season and 45 years of Scholastic Book Fairs. EVP & President of the Children's Book Group Sasha Quinton rang the bell, joined by CBG leaders Ben Stone (CRO & Managing Executive, Book Fairs), Laura Lundgren (Chief Marketing Officer), and Jackie De Leo (Chief Merchant & Publisher), and so many other Scholastic colleagues who came out to celebrate, with their own kids, fresh off their first days back at school. For over 100 years, Scholastic has believed reading can change a child's life. Book Fairs turn school gyms and libraries into a week kids remember forever. Last year alone, 103,000 Fairs took place across all 50 states, putting nearly 100 million books and supplies in kids' hands and providing more than $250 million in funding and resources for schools. None of it happens without the educators and volunteers who host our Fairs, and the behind-the-scenes Scholastic teams who serve them. Thank you, Nasdaq, for having us. Here's to the next 45 years of Book Fairs! 🔔📚 #BackToSchool #ScholasticBookFairs #SCHL #NasdaqBell Photos: 2026 Nasdaq, Inc. / Vanja Savic
