Amy Campbell shared thisAll I can say is wow. The Animal Haven gala last night was such a special moment. I feel so honored to serve on the board of Animal Haven. It is wonderful to be surrounded by such compassionate people. And I’m so moved by the team behind this organization. They give so much of themselves to this work every single day. Animal Haven’s mission goes way beyond rescue. They give animals safety, healing, compassion, and a chance at the life they deserve. They stand up and speak up for animals who cannot speak for themselves and they do it with so much love. To everyone who supported the gala, donated, fostered, adopted, volunteered, attended, and who believes in this mission… thank you. I’m also the proud adopter of Pippa, Indigo and Harvey - all of whom came into my life and family through the doors of Animal Haven. Especially hearing that human flourishing is an important part of AI development. (Phew!) Really excited to hear Nina Gregory leading panels. She is thoughtful, sharp, and pushes the conversation forward. So good! Also made some new friends along the way… one of them pictured here. nice guy! And one thing I can’t ignore: The men’s room line was longer than the women’s. (When does that happen??) Come on, ladies—AI needs us!!

Amy Campbell shared thisThis Women’s History Month, I’m thinking about the women who have guided, supported and inspired me - professionally and personally - throughout my life. I am infinitely grateful…. To the women I have worked alongside: your support, hard work, and generous partnership has yielded not just incredible results, but also a culture of creativity and compassion. You are wildly intelligent, wonderfully creative and wickedly funny. I’m so proud of the work we’ve done together. (And I love that we’ve always had fun doing it!) To the role models, mentors and teachers who have invested in me: thank you for believing in me and seeing my potential. Thank you for encouraging me and helping me find my way. Thank you for opening doors and leading by example. To my sisters: my earliest and most enduring friends and partners. I like being the middle sister between two strong, loyal and very funny women. To my mother: the smartest woman I know. An exceptional teacher whose curiosity and depth of knowledge - from American history to literature to library science and so so much more - simply amaze me. She is, and always will be, my true north. To my grandmother: who was the embodiment of compassion and strength, and my lifelong role model. (And the person my daughter is named for!) And to my daughter: smart, funny, and kind - she represents everything that is possible in the generation ahead - and she has opened a whole new dimension of my life. I’m so grateful to the women who taught me, the women beside me, the women who are my friends forever, and the women who will shape what’s next. The students were engaged, curious, and asked sharp questions that made the conversation feel like an industry roundtable. If this is the next generation of marketers, we’re in very good hands. These students are lucky to learn from Leslie. She’s one of the most thoughtful, generous, and insightful leaders in our field, and it shows in the way her students show up. Amy Campbell shared thisAn unforgettable night at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony — a celebration of artistry, rebellion, and creative risk-taking. (Jack White, Salt n Pepa, Cyndi Lauper, Sound Garden and so many more. Wow wow wow!!) Being there was so special because it reminded me of how much rock n roll shaped our culture — and how deeply that same spirit fueled MTV. No one embodies that spirit more than Van Toffler and Judy McGrath and the other MTV trailblazers in the room last night. Their hearts ARE rock n roll — fearless, visionary, and wildly creative. They built a place where music, storytelling, and culture mattered. I’m so grateful to have learned from the best — and to know that creativity will always be born from a rock n roll spirit. In a fireside chat followed by thoughtful student questions, Amy shared powerful lessons about leading with integrity, balancing business and purpose, and cultivating creative, inclusive, high performing teams. One thing I was most excited about was the opportunity to work with Dolly Parton. Dolly left an indelible mark on country music, but beyond that she was loved by everyone, everywhere. Her legacy is filled with music for the ages, but also her generosity. The Academy will work to ensure Dolly’s music and mission will always be amplified. Rest in Peace Dolly.

And now, after being laid off Friday, I'm unemployed for the first time since I was fired from a Dairy Queen when I was 19. I want to express my profound gratitude to everyone I worked with at 90octane / tmp. I had no idea I'd spend over 12 years at this job when I started, but I never had reason enough to leave. Now – I'm looking forward to a new opportunity. New people, new challenges, new growth, and new ways to push boundaries. As Calvin said in his last comic ever: "It's a magical world, Hobbes...Let's go exploring!" Wanna talk opportunities? Your boy is a free agent; hit me up!
