Catrina Jones, MPS, SHRM-SCP shared thisBecause we love the kids 😍Catrina Jones, MPS, SHRM-SCP shared thisThe Child Center has been awarded approximately $15 million in new federal funding to expand and strengthen Early Head Start and Head Start services across Queens and Manhattan. This investment will bring new center-based classrooms to Woodside and Astoria, expand access to high-quality early learning, and create nearly 60 new full-time jobs across education, mental health, and support services. Most importantly, it strengthens continuity of care by supporting a seamless path from home-based services into the classroom, ensuring children and families receive consistent, high-quality support during critical developmental years. Catrina Jones, MPS, SHRM-SCP shared thisI am so proud to be part of an organization with a leader who is recognized for her integrity, compassion, and unwavering commitment to community health. Congratulations to Traci Donnelly on this well deserved appointment! New York City’s children and families will be better for it.Catrina Jones, MPS, SHRM-SCP shared thisWe couldn’t be more excited to share that Traci Donnelly, Make An Impact Founder & President, and CEO of The Child Center of NY, has been appointed by Mayor-elect Mamdani to serve on his transition team’s Committee on Health. This appointment recognizes her decades of leadership in strengthening community health systems, expanding access to care, and elevating the voices of the families and frontline workers who are too often left out of policy conversations. We’re proud to see Traci bring her expertise, compassion, and bold vision to this critical moment for New York City. In her own words: "I’m truly blessed to be part of this effort alongside so many passionate and dedicated public servants. What excites me most is the breadth of these 17 committees—from health to housing to education to worker justice. The challenges facing New York’s children and families don’t exist in silos, and neither should our solutions. This cross-sectional approach to ensuring access for all New Yorkers is exactly aligned with our mission at The Child Center of NY and Make An Impact. When we connect the dots across health, housing, economic opportunity, and community safety, we create real pathways to stability and success for the families we serve. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work."

Catrina Jones, MPS, SHRM-SCP shared thisThis is another example of how The Child Center of NY innovates with heart. Our program "Cash+Community Works" give cash and support to the people in the community who need it the most. #TCCNY #CommunityCatrina Jones, MPS, SHRM-SCP shared thisIn 2023, a group of women joined a groundbreaking pilot initiative called Cash+Community Works: a first-of-its-kind program at The Child Center that combines direct financial support with peer mentorship and community-based goal planning. Two years later, Diki Sunshine Childcare Center officially opened in Long Island City, a new community-rooted business designed by and for local families. These moms have written a new chapter with their passion and sense of social responsibility. In their own words: "We aspire to build the best child care. Catrina Jones, MPS, SHRM-SCP reacted on thisCatrina Jones, MPS, SHRM-SCP reacted on thisIn a few weeks, my daughter, Abby, will walk across the same stage I did 28 years ago at SUNY Albany. She’s graduating with a degree in communications. 28 years separated and yet we shared the same major, the same campus, even the same dorm tower - Hello, Colonial Quad! Life has a funny way of looping back on itself. As I think about her finishing this chapter, I keep coming back to something I’ve tried to tell all my kids, over and over, in different ways as they’ve grown - you are already enough. Yes, I pushed them. Yes, I wanted them to work hard, stretch, try, fail, try again. But underneath all of that, I always wanted them to feel anchored in their own self worth. I never wanted them to fall into the trap so many of us know too well…that sideways glance at someone else’s path, someone else’s timeline, someone else’s highlight reel. I wanted them to be inspired by people, to learn from them, to admire them. But never to compare. ❤️⭐️

It's been a very challenging few years and I think this acknowledges a company where the leadership demonstrates you can be very business smart AND supportive of the people doing the work day in and day out. After years helping build something extraordinary at Paramount, finding the talent that shapes stories and the people who bring worlds to life, it’s my turn to say those three words: That's a wrap. 🎬 I led talent acquisition for one of entertainment's most iconic brands. I built teams behind the teams. I found the people who brought the stories to life. But unlike most final days, this one didn’t feel like an ending. What role does outplacement support play in ensuring departing employees complete proper IP handover and data access revocation on exit? Outplacement providers work alongside HR to build structured offboarding timelines with clear milestones: device return, credential revocation, project documentation handover, and signed IP acknowledgment. When employees know they're being genuinely supported through career transition, these administrative steps get completed, not bypassed out of frustration or a sense of abandonment.
