Eric Boyle shared thisLast week was another reminder of why the hospitality community in Colorado is so special and strong. The Colorado Hospitality Community (CHC) and the community at Metropolitan State University of Denver (the incredible faculty and alumni like Amber M. below) came together to create an impactful & really cool experience for the students of MSU Denver School of Hospitality. Last week I hosted a mock interview experience where students sat across from hospitality professionals & people connected to MSU Denver. It gave the students the chance to practice and receive real time feedback about their interviewing skills (I sure could have used that feedback as an undergrad!). It was so energizing to see and hear all the conversations happening. I was really impressed (but not surprised) as I got a lot of feedback on how well the students did & how they showed up prepared. A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to support the students, as these are the future leaders of the Colorado hospitality community. I am already looking forward to the next opportunity to bring this group together to support our students.Eric Boyle shared thisThanks to Eric Boyle for including me as part of the mock interviews for the MSU Denver School of Hospitality . I was able to interview three Roadrunners - John, Riley and Austin - who are majoring in hospitality admin and each three are looking at different areas they can use their hard-earned degrees. I love connecting with current students and sharing my HR experience - and yes, giving my elevator pitch for staying connected once their graduate🫰🏽🫰🏽

Eric Boyle shared thisA really fun and special networking event last week that showcased exactly why Denver’s hospitality community is so rich and welcoming. I was able to bring together 17 awesome students from MSU Denver School of Hospitality with just as many hospitality industry leaders for a networking event that reinforced why we are so lucky to have this community and hospitality ecosystem here in Denver and Colorado. A week later, I continue to get feedback on how impressive the students were and how impactful it was for them to have met so many approachable and genuine industry leaders. I want to thank all the industry professionals and members of the Metropolitan State University of Denver community who came out to support our students. I am truly thankful for how supportive this community is of our next generation of Colorado hospitality leaders.

Eric Boyle shared thisA huge compliment to Kristen Rauch & Kip Wilson at EatDenver for organizing such a great event. The quality of speakers and their presentations were really impressive and so relevant. I am really excited for what the MSU Denver Day Leadership Academy is working on to be rolled out in the upcoming months.Eric Boyle shared thisMarch Recap at the Day Leadership Academy ✨ March was full of momentum and guess what? We’re just getting started! A major highlight? Being part of EatDenver’s ED Talks. From powerful conversations to meaningful connections, it was an inspiring space that brought together professionals, students, and leaders who are actively shaping the future of hospitality. We’re proud to have been in the room and part of the energy. Behind the scenes, we’ve been busy turning ideas into action: • Expanding new initiatives to better support industry professionals • Strengthening partnerships across Colorado’s hospitality community At DLA, everything we do comes back to one focus and that is creating real, accessible opportunities for growth while building a stronger, more connected hospitality community. If March was any indication, there’s a lot more ahead 👀 Let’s keep building.

Eric Boyle shared thisA really exciting report to read as someone who is a huge believer in the power of coworking. However, as a coworking outsider, I do think there is a gap in the analysis, as it interesting to note that the word “hospitality” was not used once in this report (at least I didn’t see it). I get it, the target audience is VCs, banks, investors, etc., but when really thinking about what is at the core of coworking, and what will truly drive value and sustainable growth, the industry needs to continue challenging how it describes coworking. It is not a commodity. At its core, it is hospitality. #coworking #hospitalityEric Boyle shared thisOur team analyzed Yardi's CoworkingCafe quarterly coworking/flex market reports (based off data pulled from inventory across our Yardi Listing Network) to build a comprehensive 2025 annual industry recap. Most hotel event space is leaving money on the table. Not because demand is weak. Because too often it is managed like hotel support space instead of the business it actually is. That is the mistake. Great event space does not run on the same playbook as rooms. It has different customers, different booking windows, different pricing dynamics, and different operating demands. A hotel manager is built to optimize the whole asset. That does not always mean they are built to maximize event space. We are. At GH Venues, event space is not a department. It is the core business. We build and operate venues for corporate, nonprofit, and social clients, and the results come from that specialization. Most of our event days are corporate, with strong guest counts and long booking windows. Our nonprofit business also shows deep repeat behavior and long planning cycles. That is not commodity banquet demand. It is relationship-driven demand built on trust, execution, and repeat business. It is also the kind of demand owners want in their buildings. Our clients include Apollo, Nasdaq, NBCUniversal, CNBC, Amazon, McKinsey, Stanford, Columbia, Cornell, NYU, American Express, and Equinox. High-performing event space does not come from opening the doors and waiting for inquiries. It comes from real sales discipline, smart date strategy, planner relationships, production capability, and a venue people specifically want to book. In other words: event space needs its own operator mindset. The best hotel event spaces are not side businesses. They are real businesses. And if they matter to the economics of the asset, they should be run by a team built specifically to make them perform. That is how we think about it at GH Venues.

Hotel Renovations

More than a place to stay—hotels are the ultimate expression of hospitality. From business travelers and family vacations to moments of refuge and reinvention, hotels serve as neutral, adaptable spaces that welcome everyone, no matter the chapter they’re in. Their power lies in consistency, flexibility, and design that supports work, rest, connection, and comfort—sometimes all in the same day. As travel, remote work, and extended stays continue to evolve, hotels are no longer just stopovers; they’re prototypes for modern living. That’s why thoughtful hotel renovations matter: creating spaces that are resilient, functional, and welcoming enough to serve many purposes, for many people, again and again. #HotelRenovation #HospitalityDesign #GuestExperience #HotelDesign #HospitalityIndustry #AdaptiveSpaces #HotelLife #RenovationStrategy

Event housing isn’t just about filling rooms. It’s about flexibility, education, and data. In Jake’s latest Thought Leader spotlight, Ben and Jeremiah at Explore La Crosse share how they adapted their hotel strategy to meet organizers where they are – offering booking links, call-to-book options, live rates, and everything in between. The result? More visibility. More room nights tracked. Better conversations with hotel partners. There’s no one-size-fits-all model, but there is a smarter way to approach it. Hospitality momentum is real and here’s how PEG is leaning in. CoStar's latest takeaways from The Lodging Conference echo what we’re seeing on the ground: momentum is returning as fundamentals stabilize and costs ease. Why this matters: - Construction costs are starting to come down ~5–10% driven largely by labor, creating better entry points for well-underwritten projects. - Demand follows non-residential investment. Markets benefiting from data centers, energy infrastructure, chip and battery plants are seeing new room-night drivers. - Owners are finding opportunities in tax-free states like Tennessee, Texas, and Florida, as well as select border metros. - “Markets on sale” with long-term tails present smart buy opportunities for disciplined teams. At PEG, we prioritize job-creating nodes, durable demand drivers, and operational discipline. Vertical integration lets us move with speed, keep costs in check, and deliver consistent experiences for guests, partners, and investors. Scope reclamation in hospitality development is rarely about conflict. It is about revenue. When opening dates slip beyond peak booking cycles, leadership may transfer remaining punch categories into owner control to stabilize activation timing. The tower opens. Revenue begins. But structured closeout architecture often dissolves at that point, and unresolved conditions migrate into operations. The goal is not to criticize that maneuver. The goal is to reduce the probability of needing it. Disciplined verification and sustained Production Rhythm early in the lifecycle protect activation timing before revenue urgency forces structural compromise. Marriott doesn’t just track customer satisfaction—they build strategy around it. Their ability to adapt offerings, refine service models, and drive 23.9% ROI in Q1 2025 is tied to one core capability: listening to what their guests actually want—and acting on it. In hospitality, that kind of responsiveness is expected. In real estate? It’s still optional. What will it take for us to start designing communities around what renters want instead of what developers assume? https://lnkd.in/eFYYuiSq

Most PMS platforms were built for a world that no longer exists. Today’s hospitality moves faster, and property managers feel the strain. Legacy systems keep adding more tabs and more features, but not more progress. The future belongs to technology that acts on its own. That’s why we built NIA — an AI-native, agentic system redefining what a PMS can be for short-term rentals, boutique hotels, and growing portfolios. Not another tool. A new operational model. If your “AI PMS” still needs you to push every task forward, it’s already behind. Curious how autonomous execution is reshaping hospitality — and why the next generation of property managers is shifting to AI-powered systems?
