Jen Waltz 🧠 shared this🇺🇸🙏🏼Happy Independence Day.🇺🇸🙏🏼 Today, as families gather around backyard grills, children chase sparklers through the evening air, and fireworks illuminate the sky, I find myself thinking about the many hands that built this nation. Long before America became a global power, Black Americans were cultivating its land, laying its foundations, harvesting its fields, defending its ideals, and shaping a culture that would ultimately influence the world. Our labor generated wealth. Our innovation transformed industries. Our music became its soundtrack. Our language, artistry, resilience, and vision became woven into the very fabric of this country. For more than 250 years, Black Americans have never stood on the sidelines of history. We have authored some of this nation’s most defining chapters, often while fighting for the simple recognition that we, too, were entitled to the very freedoms America promised. That is a truth worth remembering. Today is not only a celebration of independence. It is also an opportunity to honor those whose courage made our progress possible. The generations who endured injustice but refused to surrender hope. The men and women who believed this country could become better than it was, even when that belief came at tremendous personal cost. Because of their sacrifice, each generation has inherited greater possibility than the one before it. Their fingerprints remain on every chapter of America’s story. Their footsteps echo through every movement toward justice. Their dreams continue to challenge us to build a nation that reflects not only its founding ideals, but its highest aspirations. America’s story belongs to ALL of us. Its complicated history bears our fingerprints. Its present is strengthened by our contributions. Its future will be shaped by what we choose to build together. May we celebrate today with gratitude, remember with honesty, and move forward with the shared responsibility of leaving this country stronger, more just, and more united than we found it. Jen Waltz 🧠 shared thisHappy Juneteenth. ♥️🖤💚 ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿Today marks 161 years since Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas and announced that more than 250,000 enslaved Black Americans were finally free. Though the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed years earlier, freedom had been delayed. Juneteenth stands as both a celebration and a reminder that justice often arrives later than it should, but remains worth pursuing nonetheless. ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿As we honor this day, we remember the generations who endured unimaginable hardship and the countless men and women who fought, organized, prayed, marched, sacrificed, and persevered to move our nation closer to its founding ideals. ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿We remember that freedom is not self-sustaining. Progress is not inevitable. Rights are not guaranteed simply because they have been won once before. ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿The story of America’s civil rights movement is, in many ways, the story of ordinary people demonstrating extraordinary courage. From Selma to Montgomery, from the Freedom Riders to Rosa Parks, from church basements to courthouse steps, individuals chose conviction over comfort and action over silence. Their efforts helped shape some of the most consequential civil rights protections in our nation’s history. ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿Yet every generation inherits its own responsibility. The work of building a more just society is never truly finished. If you are not paying attention to Marketplace as a company, you’re already behind. 🚨 One of the best powerhouse sessions was led by Robert DeMarzo and Kevin LeBlanc on Microsoft’s Marketplace Strategy & Growth; and for distributors, this isn’t just “important”… it’s existential. Let’s cut through the noise 👇 💰 A $300B shift is underway By 2030, cloud marketplaces are expected to drive $300B in revenue, with over 50% channel-led. That’s not a trend. That’s a full-blown rerouting of how technology is bought and sold. ⚡ Friction is being eliminated (fast) Marketplace is removing the headaches: ✔️ Procurement simplified ✔️ Billing + tax handled ✔️ Transactions accelerated And the results speak for themselves: ➡️ 75% of partners report faster deal cycles ➡️ 69% report larger deal sizes If your deals aren’t moving faster… it’s not the market; it’s the model. 🤝 The channel isn’t being replaced; it’s being elevated! 70% of marketplace transactions still involve a partner. I hope it hits you the way it hit me, my publisher, and the team in the studio. It’s not a tearjerker. It’s a business book. But it’s a book about principles, at a time when we may not be as focused on them as we should be. This is an exciting time to be alive in the world of AI. Exciting, sometimes frightening, sometimes unsettling. That’s why I wrote it. Principles mean more today than they ever have. There are stats and playbooks and guidance in these pages, but it’s more than a playbook. Come to our Reston event and you won’t just get a signed copy. You’ll celebrate the launch with me, and with a lot of leaders and friends. There is much more to share, and yes, Being in the right room changes everything.

I had the chance to get face time with my team, catch up with my former colleagues, and meet so many friends across the industry. I learned so many things this week as colleagues shared their views and insights on the business and discussed the massive shifts our organizations face. What is clear is that partnerships are now more important than any other part of the business. We need to continue to push our operational impact as more demands get placed on partnership leaders and practitioners.
