Watching the poise and grace with which they handle challenges and go through life is inspirational to me and a huge source of my own growth. While browsing the HP archives, I came across the story of Edna MacLean, HP’s first female engineer. Joining HP in 1953 after graduating from Stanford, her journey was a rarity for the tech industry. This speaks to the incredible drive of Edna and the foundation it built for HP’s legacy of female trailblazers. Today, the need for more women in technical roles persists. My organization is actively recruiting female pre-sales technical consultants so that the legacy of pioneering women continues at HP.

The surge in memory and GPU heavy workloads, combined with constrained component supply, means procurement choices today will shape productivity and TCO tomorrow. As an organization that is delivering our “Future of Work” strategy through one of the most integrated in modern workplaces, HP has a responsibility and opportunity to help leaders manage this global memory shortage. These conversations are difficult at times, but customers value the open dialogue to build on the partnership. We’re working with customers to take a data driven, phased approach that matches capability to need and reduces rollout risk. This weekend, I had the honor of attending the 31st annual American Red Cross Northern California Coastal Region Gala in San Francisco. Each year, this event brings our community together to support the Red Cross’s preparedness, response, and recovery efforts, honoring the impact of the past while investing in the work still ahead. Thank you to Reagan Lund Himes for her tireless efforts as the leader of the Silicon Valley Red Cross and to my fellow HP leaders Amy Fox, Helen Sheirbon, Sahil Bhardwaj for supporting the cause!
