But AI is already changing the systems that surround clinical practice—from documentation and scheduling to workflow optimization and decision support. The question is no longer whether these technologies will impact healthcare. The question is how clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders can help shape that future. Lee Grossman liked thisLee Grossman liked thisThe Journal of Orthopaedic Experience & Innovation is proud to announce its first annual Resident Research Open™. Details can be found on our website at this link: https://lnkd.in/gzru4nkN How the Resident Research Open Works The Resident Research Open is a nearly year-long, bracket-style research competition for orthopaedic residency programs. Residency programs register on a first-come, first-served basis. Each program selects its three strongest research abstracts. Abstracts do not need to be ready when the program registers. The opening three rounds are held virtually. During each matchup, competing programs alternate presenting their research live. Independent judges evaluate each presentation. Scores from all three abstracts are combined to determine which residency program advances in the bracket. Winning benefits the entire program. At every stage of the competition, the advancing team earns prizes for its entire residency program—not only the residents who presented. The Final Four competes live. The four remaining residency programs will present their research in person at a national meeting, where the inaugural Resident Research Open champion will be crowned. US & International! Register your program now. We plan to start the Resident Research Open™ in October 2026 and end in the fall of 2027! Link to register your program: https://lnkd.in/gfGn6Bb8 Be part of the action. Lee Grossman liked thisLee Grossman liked thisWhat an incredible full-circle moment! At an orthopaedic surgery meeting, I had the privilege of reconnecting with my very first orthopaedic surgery partner from 27 years ago, Dr. Martha Lenhart, MD, FAAOS. When we practiced together at Fort Carson, I was her junior partner in sports medicine and general orthopaedic surgery. Martha taught me far more than the practice of orthopaedics. She showed me how to succeed as an Army Medical Corps officer, care for patients with excellence, lead with humility, and ultimately become a department leader. It is hard to believe that nearly three decades have passed since we worked side by side. Seeing these photographs—then and now—reminds me that the greatest mentors do more than teach us a profession. Through their example, they help shape the people and leaders we become. Martha, thank you for your mentorship, friendship, and servant leadership. Your influence has remained with me throughout my military, surgical, and leadership journey. It was truly wonderful to see you again! #ServantLeadership #Mentorship #OrthopaedicSurgery #ArmyMedicine #MedicalCorps #FortCarson #MilitaryMedicine #Leadership #FullCircleMoment #ClinicalOrthopaedicSociety2026

This collaboration from Lynn Stillman, Andeleeb Dahy, and Ingela Loell, PhD looks at how differing regional expectations affect oncology evidence generation and what that means for global development planning. Different regions assess oncology evidence in different ways, and those differences show up quickly once a program moves beyond its first market. Choices made early in development—endpoints, comparators, trial populations—can make global submissions either predictable or complicated. Read the full paper https://lnkd.in/dVvdTGdy

What does it take to design health systems that are truly future-ready? At the EPHP Conference, Dr. Neha Nimble shared evidence on how Human-Centered Design (HCD) can help address a fundamental challenge in public health innovation, the ‘democratic deficit’ in health planning, by bringing community perspectives, lived experiences, and frontline realities into the design of health solutions.
