Lindsay Issler🫡 posted thisI need to know who I’m working with. Do you wash your coffee cup immediately after you drink it like a good little soldier ☕✨ Or do you let it live until the next day like a gentle menace 😭 Coffee cup people fall into two categories and I need this information for workplace compatibility purposes. Immediate washers ☕✨ “I’ll do it later” people 😭 There is no in-between.

Lindsay Issler🫡 posted thisEXCUSE ME WHAT IS THIS MAN DOING? 😂 A while back my boss did something so unhinged on LinkedIn that I’m still thinking about it. At the time, I had only been at the company for a few weeks. I had recently written a post about not checking all the boxes for a job. Because I didn’t. I applied anyway and somehow ended up exactly where I was supposed to be. Someone commented that they were struggling with their resume and job search. Okay. Pretty normal LinkedIn stuff. Then my boss jumped into the comments. Unexpected, but awesome. We love it. Then he offered to help them. And ACTUALLY GOT ON A PHONE CALL WITH THEM. A complete stranger from my LinkedIn comments. To help them with their resume. Sir. What are you doing? 😂 I remember reading that exchange and just staring at my phone. Because who actually does that? This is also the same delightful human who somehow turns every conversation into a pun, creates anagrams for fun, and regularly appears in my comment section like he’s been summoned there. So maybe I shouldn’t have been surprised. But I remember thinking: Waittt. Did I accidentally join some alternate universe? Because a complete stranger comments on a LinkedIn post and your first instinct is to get on a phone call and help them? Apparently that’s a thing we’re doing now 😅 At the time, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Looking back, it was probably one of the first clues that I had found my people. Anyway. Still not over it. 10/10 iconic behavior. No notes 😂

Lindsay Issler🫡 posted thisConsistency is showing up again before you have proof it’s working. Consistency is what you don’t see. It’s writing a post after a flop when your energy is low and you’re not even sure anyone will read it. It’s planning a message when you’re exhausted, reworking the same line five times just to make sure it actually sounds like you. And I don’t think this just applies to content. It applies to leadership. Relationships. Careers. Health. Confidence. Pretty much anything worth building. Most consistency happens way before momentum does. We don’t always talk about what happens between the wins. But most of the good stuff gets built there first.

Lindsay Issler🫡 posted thisWe accidentally created a bunch of little clean air and water warriors and honestly I love them 😭 One of the coolest parts of customer marketing has been realizing how much our customers genuinely WANT to be involved. We host webinars and people show up with incredibly thoughtful questions. Not just: “What product should I buy?” I’m blown away by their detailed questions about air quality, filtration, contaminants, water, health… all of it. And because I help run the webinars and Q&A, I actually get to interact with them directly. They email me. They ask follow-up questions. They share their stories. They submit UGC proudly showing off their setups.😭 They care deeply about this stuff. And it’s really rewarding to be a part of that. Sometimes marketing can feel very dashboard-y and conversion-focused. But moments like this remind me there are real people on the other side who genuinely trust us to help guide them. That’s a pretty neat responsibility. Anyway shoutout to all our little clean air and water warriors 🫡 —————— Heyyy I’m Lindsay Issler🫡 a scrappy strategist building retention systems, running webinars, and cheering on our little clean air and water warriors from behind the scenes.

Lindsay Issler🫡 posted thisYou spend hours building the perfect promo email… and then some random webinar invitation performs just as well 😅 No big sale. No “BUY NOW.” No giant urgency play. Not even a link to the website. It was literally just an invitation to sign up for a webinar. And somehow it drove just as many orders as some of our promotional emails. Scuse me? I beg your finest pardon?! That really changed the way I think about customer marketing. Because people can feel the difference between: being talked TO and being talked AT. Talk like a person talking to a person. The more we lean into education, storytelling, and genuinely helping customers… the better the program performs. Turns out when people trust you and feel understood, they don’t need to be screamed at to buy something.

Lindsay Issler🫡 posted thisMy husband gives stem cell transplants. I build lifecycle journeys and segmentation flows. We do not have the same definition of “urgent.” My husband is an oncology nurse and just won a huge nursing award 🥹 Ridiculously proud of him. Being around someone whose work is ACTUALLY life and death every day changes your perspective fast. Meanwhile I work in marketing 😅 I build lifecycle journeys and segmentation flows so someone doesn’t get 4 “last chance” emails for the same sale that will absolutely happen again next week. And don’t get me wrong… my team cares deeply about their work, and so do I. We want strong results. We want great work. We want things to move fast. But I never want our day-to-day to feel like everything is a five-alarm fire. Campaigns slip. Threads stall. Messages wait. None of it is life or death. Being around my husband’s work has made me a calmer leader. More perspective. Less panic. Same standards. Not everything that feels urgent actually is. Still very proud of my spreadsheets though 🫡

Lindsay Issler🫡 shared thisDoes giving feedback make anyone else want to crawl into the fetal position or just me 😅 We talk a lot about how hard it is to receive feedback… but giving it is hard too. You don’t want to say the wrong thing. You don’t want to kill someone’s confidence. You don’t want to come across like a jerk. I used to think feedback was mostly about telling people what they were doing wrong. Now I see it completely differently. The best feedback usually has way more to do with potential than mistakes. What someone is capable of. What could help them get to the next level. What they could grow into with the right support and push. That’s a very different conversation. And people can feel the difference. What’s one piece of feedback that has stuck with you during your career? Could be something you received or something you gave that really mattered. I’ll go first in the comments 😬 ——————— Heyyy I’m Lindsay Issler🫡 a scrappy strategist who jumped from entertainment into DTC and is now weirdly obsessed with retention systems and the messy art of feedback 🤌

But SportPet Designs, LLC did. Because they are smart. And cool. And fun. Which is why I'm now their Creative Director. I wish you the best in your future search for someone half as good as me. I am unable to provide any feedback at this time because I don't have the bandwidth. I have a new job. You blew it. Suck it. Noah

I hope it’s real.Lindsay Issler🫡 reacted on this“You should be able to brake better than you can accelerate.” - That was the philosophy of Bugatti Veyron chief engineer Wolfgang Schreiber. Bugatti figured this out 20 years ago. Humanoid robots are learning it now, the hard way. A humanoid robot training ahead of the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing came running in too fast, failed to stop, slammed into a safety cushion, and appeared to break around the waist. These robots are specifically being pushed to run faster and compete to test the limits of humanoid robots. And sometimes finding those limits looks exactly like this. Turns out breaking records is easier when you can also brake. Follow Endrit Restelica for more.

If you read the details, it should really have been named best water purifier period. Among all the categories, the Carafe is the ONLY water purifier certified to remove 84 contaminants. Even more than the best under sink water purifier. Of course if you want the real best under the sink we just introduced that too (too late to qualify for this years ranking). At AquaTru we are committed to delivering truly pure water so critical for our foundational health and wellness. https://lnkd.in/gdhBHa8PWe Tested 50+ Water Filters—These Are the Ones We’d Use at HomeWe Tested 50+ Water Filters—These Are the Ones We’d Use at Home

Lindsay Issler🫡 liked thisLindsay Issler🫡 liked thisAfter interviewing with a number of companies during my job search, I’ve noticed the same signs when an interview isn’t going well. Here are 5 signs I've learned to watch for: 1. The interview ends early Not two minutes or five minutes early. I’m talking about a 60-minute interview ending 15-30 minutes early. 2. They don't try to sell you on the role When it’s going well, I’ve found that at some point, they start telling you why you should want to work there. 3. You're not being asked follow-up questions When there's curiosity about your experience, the hiring manager usually wants to dig deeper and learn more. 4. The conversation feels one-sided Some of my best interviews felt like a conversation. When I feel like I’m doing all the talking and the vibes are off, that’s usually a sign. 5. They seem eager to wrap things up Let’s be real, sometimes you can just feel it. The questions get shorter. The responses get shorter. They start looking around, and it seems like they want to be anywhere but with you. Of course, none of these automatically means you're out. Interviewers have bad days and some people are just bad at interviewing. Meetings run over. Some people are simply more reserved. However, when several of these start happening at once? We gotta keep it real with ourselves. Not good. What would you add to the list?
