AfroTech turns ten this year, which means ten years of people who decided to come together to influence, build, and innovate together. Maybe you came to AfroTech and got a life-changing job offer. Maybe you came and were inspired to write your first angel check. Or maybe you came and met your future husband! What's next? I’m excited to join Genius as Account Director, Brand Partnerships, working alongside Sherdale Hendrickson. What stands out to me about Genius is that it’s bigger than music. It’s about the stories behind the songs, the artists shaping what’s next, and the fans who give culture meaning. I was working the conference, making sure our sponsors had what they needed, running around solving problems behind the scenes... and I STILL walked away changed.
