Allen Niemynski reposted thisAllen Niemynski reposted thisFor years, employers have been forced into a difficult tradeoff with GLP-1s: expand access to the most effective treatments available, or manage rising and often unsustainable costs. That tradeoff shouldn’t exist, and it doesn’t have to. With SmartRx, we set out to redesign how GLP-1s are accessed and paid for. Early results from our first employer show the program is on track to reduce spend by nearly 80%. But the bigger story is what this signals for the future of employer health strategy. In our new white paper, From Managing Illness to Building Health, we make the case for moving beyond fragmented, condition-specific solutions toward a more integrated approach to metabolic health, one that addresses root causes, not just downstream conditions. SmartRx is built on that foundation: combining direct access to lower-cost medications with behavior change and clinical support in a single, coordinated experience. Because the real opportunity here isn’t just lower drug costs. It’s building a more effective, sustainable approach to metabolic health, one that delivers better results for your population and a stronger ROI for your business. We’re still early, but the direction is clear. If you're rethinking your GLP-1 strategy for 2026 and beyond, now is the time to take a different approach. Allen Niemynski reposted thisAllen Niemynski reposted thisDerek Flanzraich asked a provocative question: “Is it possible GLP-1s are more mental health than metabolic health drugs? In a world that feels increasingly loud these days, maybe the real promise of GLP-1s is simply less noise.” That framing matters: By quieting “food noise,” these medications may free up mental bandwidth—making space for healthy behavior. The opportunity then is using that GLP-1 window to build habits, abilities, and a choice architecture that will last. Allen Niemynski reposted thisAllen Niemynski reposted thisLast July, our CEO Geoff Cook stood in a room at the White House and made a pledge. Today, we delivered on it. We launched Noom Health Record Connect, a new feature that allows Medicare members to securely connect their electronic health records directly to the Noom app. Diagnoses, medications, lab results — all used to personalize their weight, prediabetes, and diabetes experience from day one. And every Medicare member gets their first 30 days completely free. This is the kind of integration that sounds simple but requires years of groundwork: partnering with b.well Connected Health's national health data network (connected to 2.4M providers and 350 health plans) and CLEAR for secure identity verification, earning the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) Seal for data privacy and clinical rigor, and fulfilling a public commitment we made to the CMS Health Technology Ecosystem initiative. The healthcare industry has been talking about interoperability for a decade. What's exciting is that Noom is now actually doing it, putting real health record data to work in a consumer-facing experience that changes what personalized care looks like. For our health plan partners, this is just the beginning. The infrastructure we're building — longitudinal health records, clinical data at the point of engagement, consent-based data sharing — is the foundation for what truly personalized member programs will look like. We're excited about where this goes. More to come. Proud of the teams who made this happen. https://lnkd.in/gYAu4y-X

Most small businesses with around 10 employees are not required to offer health insurance. However, many often face common challenges: - Overpaying for the wrong plan - Choosing based solely on price - Not offering benefits at all, leading to difficulties in hiring The right benefits strategy can significantly impact: - Attracting better employees - Retaining your team longer - Controlling long-term costs I have created a guide that breaks down the best health insurance options for small businesses in Texas, including group plans, HRAs, and level-funded options. If you have around 10 employees, this guide will provide a clear starting point. Additionally, if you already have a plan in place, it may be beneficial to review it. Best Employer Health Insurance Plans in Texas: What to Consider Employer health insurance has become a cornerstone of employee satisfaction and retention, especially in competitive markets like Texas. Unsurprisingly, businesses that provide quality health benefits often see stronger morale, lower turnover and higher productivity. The best employer health insurance plans don’t only protect employees’ health; they reinforce a company’s values and compliance with both federal and state mandates. For Texas employers, these plans offer a key differentiator when hiring top talent. But as costs rise and regulations shift, finding the right coverage can feel overwhelming. That’s why working with a trusted Texas-based broker like Selected Benefits makes all the difference. Our team helps businesses evaluate options for group health insurance in Texas that align with both budget and workforce needs. Employer coverage also reduces administrative strain. Instead of managing multiple individual plans, companies can streamline benefits under one umbrella, making sure that every eligible employee receives consistent access to medical, dental and vision care. For employees, that stability translates into peace of mind, and for businesses, it means better engagement and fewer lost workdays. Learn More: https://lnkd.in/gTbvkiqf

January's benefits headaches are created by December's lack of planning. Here's your step-by-step guide to conducting a meaningful benefits audit before renewal season hits… 1️⃣ Gather Comprehensive Usage Data Compile 12 months of enrollment numbers, claims data and utilization rates for every benefit offered. Include both high-use and zero-use programs to identify gaps. 2️⃣ Survey Employee Satisfaction and Needs Send anonymous surveys asking what's working, what's missing and what life changes employees anticipate. Include questions about benefits communication effectiveness. 3️⃣ Benchmark Against Industry Standards Research what similar-sized companies in your industry offer and at what cost. Pay attention to emerging benefits trends that could give you competitive advantage. 4️⃣ Calculate True ROI for Each Benefit Measure costs against outcomes like retention rates, absenteeism reduction and employee satisfaction scores. Some expensive benefits deliver poor returns while cheaper ones excel. 5️⃣ Identify Compliance and Communication Gaps Review all required notices, deadlines and documentation requirements. Audit how well employees understand their current benefits and where confusion exists. 6️⃣ Create Strategic Recommendations for 2026 Develop specific action plans for benefits to add, modify or eliminate. Include communication improvements and implementation timelines for maximum impact. A thorough December audit sets the foundation for a smooth renewal process and better employee satisfaction throughout 2026! #BenefitsAudit #YearEndPlanning #FringeBenefitAnalysts #BenefitsStrategy #BusinessPlanning

💻 BBG Tech Talk: Why Payroll Mapping Errors Cost Employers Thousands Payroll mapping may seem like a small technical detail in benefits administration, but when it’s incorrect, it can create costly issues for employers. When benefit plans aren’t mapped correctly to payroll systems, it can lead to incorrect deductions, compliance risks, and hours of administrative cleanup for HR and payroll teams. Here are a few common payroll mapping errors we see: 💙 Incorrect Deduction Codes If benefits are mapped to the wrong deduction code, employees may be under-deducted or over-deducted; often requiring manual corrections and adjustments. 💙 Wrong Payroll Frequency When benefit deductions are set up for the wrong pay schedule (bi-weekly vs. semi-monthly, for example), the contribution amounts shown during enrollment may not match what appears in payroll. 💙 Pre-Tax vs. Post-Tax Setup Errors Mapping a benefit incorrectly as pre-tax or post-tax can create compliance issues and impact employees’ taxable wages. Taking time to review payroll mappings before Open Enrollment and whenever plan changes occur can help prevent costly errors and payroll reconciliation headaches. Have questions about your benefits setup? #AskBBG #BBGBroker #EmployeeBenefits #PayrollIntegration #HRTechnology 💼
