The Role
This is a Customer Operations Manager position reporting directly to the founder and CEO. You’ll own customer strategy, onboarding, and ongoing support for our growing book of clients. The role is critical because our customers are the lifeblood of the business, and how we treat them is how we win.
You’ll be the first dedicated hire on the customer side, which means you get to help build this function from the ground up. There’s a ton of room to grow into a Head of Customer or similar leadership role as Scout scales.
What you'll do
Onboard new clients and set them up for success across their first 30, 60, and 90 days
Serve as the main point of contact for our customers and build real relationships with them
Develop and execute on our customer strategy, learning what’s working and what isn’t
Support customers when they have questions, issues, or new ideas
Work with leadership on packaging, pricing, and product decisions based on what you’re hearing from the field
Track customer health, usage, and outcomes so we can prove the value we’re driving
What we're looking for
2+ years of experience in a high-growth startup environment where you wore a lot of hats and figured things out as you went
Excellent written and verbal communication, which is non-negotiable because you’ll be customer-facing all day
Basic proficiency with spreadsheets and an analytical mindset
Self-starter energy because we don’t have a 50-page playbook and you’ll need to help build it
Comfortable working US business hours regardless of where you’re based
Nice to haves
Experience working in or with the recruiting industry
Experience at an AI-enabled services business
Logisitcs
Fully remote, with required US business hours
Compensation depends on your experience and location
