About the Company
We're retained by a well-backed deep-tech semiconductor startup to find their first senior commercial leader in the Americas. The company has developed a new fabrication technology that's being designed into the advanced packaging roadmaps of some of the biggest names in AI, memory, and chip manufacturing.
About the Role
This is a hands-on closing role. You'll own a portfolio of strategic accounts and convert an active evaluation pipeline into signed deals — POC agreements, JDAs, and capital equipment orders with Tier 1 customers.
Responsibilities • Own a portfolio of strategic accounts. • Business Development • Convert an active evaluation pipeline into signed deals. • Negotiate POC agreements, JDAs, and capital equipment orders with Tier 1 customers.
Qualifications • Experience selling capital equipment, process technology, or IP into the semiconductor industry. • A track record of closing first-tool or first-of-kind deals, not just managing existing accounts. • Senior relationships at foundries, memory vendors, hyperscalers, AI chip companies, OSATs, or IDMs. • Comfortable being the only commercial person in the room at an early-stage company. • Background at a semiconductor equipment OEM (Applied Materials, Lam, KLA, ASML, TEL, Besi, ASMPT) a strong plus.
Required Skills • Strong sales skills in the semiconductor industry. • Ability to build and maintain senior relationships.
Preferred Skills • Experience with capital equipment sales. • Familiarity with advanced packaging technologies.
Location
Bay Area, Austin, or Phoenix preferred, but remote US is also an option.
