The shift back to full-time in-office work is revitalizing the commercial real estate market. Many large institutions are now requiring employees to be present three to five days a week, a notable increase from previous trends. This renewed demand for office spaces is directly impacting rental rates, with areas like Mayfair seeing rents double to around £200. Similar trends are observed in other city centers. The rise in rents is a clear indicator of increased demand, suggesting a positive outlook for the office market's viability. #CommercialRealEstate #OfficeMarket #WorkplaceTrends #UrbanDevelopment #Investment

The commercial real estate market in 2025 showed a significant resurgence, particularly in office transactions. Office deals surged 58.2% year-over-year to 367, with dollar volume climbing 128.8% to over $2 billion. This growth was boosted by a landmark $1.2 billion sale of the Post Building, but underlying interest in quality office assets is evident. Despite the prevalence of remote and hybrid work, investors are increasingly identifying opportunities in premium office properties and retail spaces, indicating a renewed confidence in select commercial real estate sectors. #CommercialRealEstate #OfficeMarket #Investment #RealEstateTrends #Vancouver

Grace Altamura and I attended Richmond BizSense’s Office Space event because I always enjoy hearing what’s working in other markets that we might be able to apply here in #HamptonRoads. One point that came through clearly and something I’ve been saying for awhile (throwing it all the way back to the #GreatOfficeGlowUp): tenants aren’t just leasing square footage but they are using office space as a recruiting + retention tool. Smart tenants are willing to shift some of those occupancy dollars into better design, amenities, technology, and employee experience. #Richmond’s office fundamentals are strong, and many of the same trends are playing out here. The buildings gaining traction are the ones where ownership is willing to invest in the tenant experience and help prospects see what the space can become. Overall great insights from Will Bradley, Christian Creswell, John B. Levy, Gagan Marwaha, and David Wilkins, SIOR

Not every office is equal—because not every building performs the same. Two spaces may match on paper, but day-to-day reality is shaped by access, parking flow, service reliability, visibility, and how well the asset holds up over time. Real estate investors call Manhattan office sector an 'earth-shattering' opportunity: Bargains in New York City real estate are rare, but significant opportunities exist in the stock market for prime Manhattan properties. Shares of major office tower owners, including SL Green and Vornado Realty Trust, have dramatically fallen—by nearly 50% and 35%, respectively—due to concerns over AI-induced job losses and reduced demand for office space. However, SL Green recently reported record leasing activity, driven by AI companies securing large spaces. https://lnkd.in/ezjRsygB
