Time-lapse video shows rapid spread of Gann Fire in California

Multiple cameras captured the alarming spread of a deadly wildfire this week in Central California.

The Gann Fire started Monday in forest land in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Calaveras County. The fire, which authorities said appears to have been ignited by sparks from a chain saw, burned more than 10,300 acres by Friday and forced evacuations.

A body was found inside a burned home and at least seven structures have been destroyed. Investigators will determine whether the fire contributed to the death of the person found in a burned home near the town of Angels Camp.

A 65-year-old man was arrested in connection with the fire.
