Residents near the iconic Mulholland Drive say an abandoned house has been an eyesore and nuisance, as they say trespassers overtake the property at all hours of the day.
A home perched below the famous street has been the host of numerous parties, and neighbors say their calls to the police have been futile. Residents living below the property said they’re worried about trespassers’ drug use and them potentially starting fires.

WATCH HERE“The house on the top of the hill has been an issue for a while,” said Paul Stern, who lives in the community.
Neighbors said the construction of the home has also weakened the hillside.
“Since the point when it was constructed, it wasn't constructed properly,” Stern said. “It created a lot of mudslides. We dealt with the mudslides.”
According to Zillow, the house was last sold in 2022. It’s now covered by graffiti and several of the home’s windows are gone. Property records show Walking Media Inc. as the current owner of the property.
In addition to calling the police on the trespassers, area residents said they’ve reached out to the offices of Mayor Karen Bass and Councilmember Nithya Raman, who represents the district, several times for help.

“The neighborhood has already given up on making any efforts,” Stern said. “Whoever they bring their concerns to is not really addressing the issues. So, we just kind of live the way we live and without really expecting anything more to be done.”
