Do you wonder what careers best match your personality? Take our quiz to find out more about yourself!

Instructions

Answer each of the questions below honestly about yourself, and we’ll let you know which careers best match your personality.

This quiz is based on the six basic personality categories of the Holland Codes: realistic, investigative, artistic, social, enterprising, and conventional (RIASEC). Your answers will help match your dominant personality type with various occupations that might be a good fit for you.

Who am I… and what do I want to do with my life? We’ve all asked ourselves this existential question at some point.

Knowing where to begin your professional journey can seem overwhelming, especially if this is your first job search.

Maybe you’ve taken a personality quiz to get a better sense of what makes you tick, or you’ve read your career horoscope for additional insight.

Finding the right career path for you is about balancing your persona with your passions while drawing on the unique skills you already possess.

Keep in mind that the job you do doesn’t have to define you. Anyone can benefit from doing fulfilling work. Research shows that having a meaningful career is good for your mental well-being.

This brief, time-saving questionnaire is designed for anyone looking for a new job or interested in starting a new career path.

It can help hone your interests and expertise, regardless of where you’re at in your career.

While there are countless online resources available to help you decide what’s next for your professional journey, our career test can help you make a sensible, practical, and informed decision in a matter of minutes.

This online screening is not a definitive tool. Your quiz results don’t necessarily have to dictate what you should do with your life, either.

Think of your results as a compass pointing you in a new and exciting direction to help you find your calling.

How can I find a job that I love?

It may take trial and error as well as time and effort, but finding a job you love is possible. However, it’s not required to love your job — some people find enough satisfaction in a job that pays the bills.

Consider your preferences:

  • Do you value in-person or office-based roles?
  • Do you want to commute?
  • What is your ideal income?
  • What kind of work environment do you value? Fast-paced? Hands-on? Independent?

Understanding your preferences should help narrow down your choices to jobs you’ll truly love.

How can I balance work and life?

Some careers and jobs offer more flexibility in scheduling or the ability to “leave work at work.” Sticking to set work and off-work hours should give you more time to focus on things you enjoy outside of work.

You can try to maintain a work-life balance by:

  • setting achievable and manageable goals at work
  • delegating home tasks to others, such as splitting up chores among family members
  • working with efficiency at your job, such as not avoiding tasks
  • using your breaks, days off, and paid time off (if you have it) to take care of yourself.

What is job burnout?

Constantly working too hard or long hours may lead to job burnout. Job burnout may cause feelings of:

  • stress
  • discontent
  • overwhelm

Job burnout may affect your performance at work and your personal life. If you think you have job burnout, make sure you try to find time to take care of yourself mentally and physically.
