VERSONIANS
The VERSOnians, our Parents Group, forms the heartbeat of our school community, with their unwavering dedication and support. Their contributions enrich every aspect of our learners’ experience, from organizing events that spark joy and learning to providing invaluable resources that strengthen our programs.
Whether it’s volunteering their time, sharing expertise, or fostering connections, their commitment shines through. Together, they cultivate an environment where learners thrive and families feel connected. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for their partnership in shaping a brighter future for all.
COFFEE MORNINGS
Coffee mornings at VERSO are opportunities for families, Learning Designers, and visiting specialists to build connections, share ideas, and strengthen our community.
These informal gatherings, held several times a month, foster open communication between parents, teachers, and staff, creating a supportive network.
They encourage collaboration, celebrate shared achievements, and ensure every voice is heard, making our school a more inclusive and vibrant place.
Spirit Week
Our community celebrates Spirit Week with themed days: Movie Magic Monday (Hollywood costumes), Team Spirit Tuesday (green attire for the U19 Basketball Homecoming Game), Wacky House Wednesday (house colors), Throwback Thursday (retro styles + Talad VERSO Fundraiser), and Future-Ready Friday (career/futuristic outfits).
This annual tradition unites learners, parents, and staff, fostering teamwork and camaraderie through creative participation.
พิธีไหว้ครู
Wai Kru
Wai Kru Day (Teacher Appreciation Day) is our annual tradition of honoring the invaluable role our educators play in shaping young minds and their futures. Our learners recite Thai poems and perform a traditional Thai dance, presenting their Learning Designers and Assistants with flowers and garlands.
This meaningful ceremony showcases the deep respect and gratitude our learners have for their teachers’ guidance and wisdom.
VERSOLYMPICS
Our annual sports event unites families, learners, and staff in a vibrant display of school spirit, with everyone proudly wearing house colors: Patapee Yellow, Akkee Red, Waree Blue, and Wayu Purple.
House Captains lead track-and-field events like long jump, relays, and shot put, while younger learners enjoy water sponge relays, moon hoppers, and egg-and-spoon races.
Parents cheer from the sidelines, adding props to fuel the friendly competition and laughter-filled atmosphere!
วันลอยกระทง
Loy Krathong
To celebrate the Thai Festival of Lights dedicated to honoring the Goddess of Water and River – Goddess Khongkha (พระแม่คงคา) – our VERSO community dresses up in beautiful traditional Thai outfits.
Our learners make decorated baskets known as krathongs, perform traditional Thai dances and music, and participate in the vibrant klong yao (กลองยาว) parade led by our Upper Loop learners.
HALLOWEEN
Every year our campus buzzes with Halloween spirit as learners, parents, and staff parade our campus in various creative costumes – from tiny pumpkins to witches, skeletons, cartoon characters, and more! Some of our learners also organize fundraising bake sales and activities.
WINTER FEST
Our annual Winter Fest includes 30+ booths featuring international food, drinks, games, products, and activities that are brought to life by our fantastic community of parents, staff, learners, and Learning Designers!
Bouncy castles, deejay booths, face painting, and more add to the excitement. The highlights? The raffle prizes and each one of our performances—dance, music, and even a staff band, making it a celebration of great community spirit!
LUNAR NEW YEAR
During Lunar New Year, our learners perform dances in their classes and participate in various activities that bring the spirit of the festival to life, including lantern making and calligraphy workshops.
These experiences are more than just artistic expressions—they are opportunities to appreciate the significance of the holiday, understand the traditions behind it, and celebrate the rich diversity within our community.
เทศกาลสงกรานต์
Songkran
Officially known as the Thai New Year, Songkran is a time for families and friends to come together to celebrate and pay their respects to their elders. They also visit temples to offer prayers and make merit, hoping for good luck and prosperity in the coming year.
Our community embraces this spirit with morning merit-making, the touching “Rod Nam Dum Hua” ceremony, and vibrant festivities, including traditional performances, Thai temple fair games, and waterplay to beat the heat!
