😎 School’s out for summer!
☀️ As an ambitious working mom, summer always brings a mix of emotions. You spend the academic year driving hard to build a business, deliver impact, and hit professional goals -- and then summer hits, suddenly reminding you just how quickly childhood flies by.
🤹♀️ It's funny -- as women, we're often told we can have it all, but we don’t talk enough about the constant juggling act and paradox of being a working mom (why don’t we hear people say “working dads?!"). You have to be deeply ambitious, but never look like you're prioritizing your job. You have to grow your career and perform at a high level, but you can't miss a single soccer game, playdate, partnership discussion, or investment meeting. You have to be an exceptional professional, but you also have to be fully present for a random Tuesday afternoon or PA Day. You love the hustle, but you can't talk about how exhausting the invisible juggle is. You're expected to show your children what success looks like, even when you're completely worn out. It’s a constant tightrope where you are supposed to be at the absolute top of your game at home, at work, and at the gym—all at the exact same time, without breaking a sweat.
⏳ The truth is, there is no perfect balance. There are only choices, trade-offs, and micro-decisions. Some days work wins. Some days family wins. Most days, you’re simply giving it everything you’ve got, bridging the gaps between your professional ambitions and your personal life, and hoping you’re getting enough of both right.
🎢 This summer, I'm reminding myself that success isn't only measured in meetings, investments, or deals closed. Sometimes it's measured in bike rides, ice cream runs, family holidays, and hearing "Mom, watch this!" for the hundredth time. Work will still be here in September, and the ecosystem will keep spinning, but the kids will only be this young right now.
⛱️ Here's to a summer of making memories, being unapologetically present, and celebrating the incredible community of working parents out there doing the exact same thing!
