LA Times Festival of Books
WNDB was proud to receive the Innovator’s Award from the LA Times Book Prizes! In conjunction with the award, the LA Times Festival of Books hosted a panel with our team and board members.

We Need Diverse Books Day
We held the second annual We Need Diverse Books Day on April 14, 2026! Started in 2025, WNDB Day was created to highlight the importance of reading books that reflect our beautifully diverse world.
How to participate: Simply share a post on social media of a diverse book you’re reading and why you picked it!

Literacy Night at Green Street Academy, Baltimore, MD
The WNDB team recently staffed a table at a Literacy Night at Green Street Academy, a public charter school in Baltimore that received our inaugural Adopt a Library Grant.
