Toyota Kirloskar Motor has reportedly announced major price cuts across its product portfolio, passing on the full benefits of the recent GST reduction to customers. The move comes just ahead of the festive season, making several popular Toyota models more affordable.

According to reports, the Toyota Fortuner will see the steepest reduction of up to Rs 3.49 lakh, followed closely by the Legender, which will now be cheaper by up to Rs 3.34 lakh. The Hilux lifestyle pickup has also received a sizeable price cut of up to Rs 2.52 lakh, while premium models such as the Vellfire and Camry will become cheaper by up to Rs 2.78 lakh and Rs 1.01 lakh, respectively.

In the mid-range segment, Toyota’s popular SUVs and MPVs have also seen substantial revisions. The Innova Crysta is now available with discounts up to Rs 1.80 lakh, while the Innova Hycross is cheaper by up to Rs 1.15 lakh. The Taisor also gets a reduction of up to Rs 1.11 lakh, making it a more attractive option in the compact SUV segment.

For entry-level buyers, Toyota’s hatchback Glanza will now be cheaper by up to Rs 85,300, while the Rumion MPV gets a price drop of up to Rs 48,700. The Urban Cruiser Hyryder, one of Toyota’s strong players in the hybrid SUV market, will see a reduction of up to Rs 65,400.

Toyota has urged customers to confirm the revised pricing at their nearest authorized dealerships, as the exact benefits may vary depending on the variant and location. The company also advised buyers to make early bookings to ensure timely delivery during the festive rush.

With these price cuts, Toyota expects stronger demand across all segments, particularly for models like the Fortuner, Innova, and Hyryder, which already enjoy strong customer interest in India.

The GST Council, earlier this week, approved limiting slabs to 5 per cent and 18 per cent, effective from September 22, the first day of Navaratri.

Under it, petrol, LPG and CNG vehicles of less than 1,200 cc and not more than 4,000 mm length and diesel vehicles of up to 1,500 cc and 4,000 mm length would move to the 18 per cent rate.

All automobiles exceeding 1,200 cc and longer than 4,000 mm will be charged with a 40 per cent levy.

The reduction in GST on passenger vehicles will be effective September 22 2025.
