Tata Motors price cut: Check new prices of Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Curvy, Safari, and Harrier

Tata Motors has announced a significant price reduction on its passenger vehicles, effective September 22, passing on the benefits of the recent GST revision to customers. Price cuts range from ₹65,000 to ₹1.45 lakh across models like Tiago, Tigor, Altroz, Punch, Nexon, Curvv, Harrier, and Safari.
Chandra added that the reduction in GST on passenger vehicles, effective September 22, 2025, is a timely and progressive decision that will significantly improve accessibility to personal mobility for millions across the country. He further emphasized that the price cuts will make Tata’s popular cars and SUVs more affordable across categories, supporting first-time buyers and encouraging a faster shift toward modern mobility solutions.
Tata Motors' New Price List
According to the Mumbai-headquartered auto major, the company’s small hatchback Tiago will now be cheaper by ₹75,000, while the Tigor compact sedan will see a cut of ₹80,000. The popular premium hatchback Altroz will become more affordable with a reduction of ₹1.10 lakh.In the SUV lineup, Tata Motors confirmed that the compact SUV Punch will get a price slash of ₹85,000, whereas the widely sold Nexon will become cheaper by ₹1.55 lakh. The mid-sized Curvv model will also witness a reduction of ₹65,000.
Meanwhile, the company’s flagship premium SUVs—Harrier and Safari—are set to receive substantial cuts as well. Prices of the Harrier will drop by ₹1.40 lakh, while the Safari will become cheaper by ₹1.45 lakh, the company said in its statement.
Earlier this week, the GST Council approved a revised tax slab structure, reducing it to just two rates—5% and 18%—effective September 22, coinciding with the beginning of Navaratri.
Under the new rules, petrol, LPG, and CNG vehicles with an engine capacity below 1,200 cc and length under 4,000 mm, along with diesel vehicles up to 1,500 cc and 4,000 mm length, will fall under the 18% GST slab. All vehicles exceeding 1,200 cc in capacity and longer than 4,000 mm will now attract a higher levy of 40%.
