Nitish Kumar announces free electricity up to 125 units for Bihar households

Ahead of the upcoming assembly elections, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced that all domestic consumers will receive 125 units of electricity free every month starting August 1, 2025. The scheme, expected to benefit 1.67 crore households, also includes full support for solar energy setups under the Kutir Jyoti Yojana for extremely poor families.
