Streets flood as heavy rain lashes Delhi-NCR; visuals show traffic chaos, rising Ganga in Varanasi

Heavy rainfall lashed several parts of Delhi-NCR on Saturday (August 9, 2025), bringing traffic to a crawl and flooding key stretches. Areas like Shastri Bhawan, R.K. Puram, Moti Bagh, Kidwai Nagar, ITO, and APS Colony reported severe waterlogging. Sector 115 in Noida also saw intense showers. Water levels in the Ganga river at Varanasi inched closer to the danger mark. Commuters faced heavy congestion near AIIMS and Barapullah bridge due to the downpour.
