    BRS puts fertiliser first in Vice-Presidential polls

    Synopsis

    Telangana's BRS remains undecided on supporting either alliance in the upcoming vice presidential election. BRS leader KT Rama Rao has set a condition for support. He stated that the alliance which ensures 200,000 tonnes of urea for Telangana before September 9 will receive BRS's backing. The state is currently facing a fertilizer crisis.

    With the vice presidential election round the corner and the ruling side trying to gather support for its candidate, CP Radhakrishnan, the BRS in Telangana is non-committal to both the alliances. BRS leader KT Rama Rao has come up with a condition and said that whoever fulfils it will get his party's support. He has said that with Telangana facing a fertilizer crisis and BRS will support the alliance which can ensure 200,000 tonnes of urea for the state before September 9.
