Indian Diaspora delighted after meeting PM Modi in China,'I almost cried, I love Modi, I love India...'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in China on Saturday for a two-day visit, marking his first trip to the country in seven years. He is in Tianjin to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit on August 31 and September 1, alongside leaders from the 10-member bloc. PM Modi is set to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday. In addition to the discussions with Xi, PM Modi will also engage in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on September 1. The timing of the visit is notable, coming at a time of strained relations with the United States. The Trump administration recently imposed heavy tariffs on Indian exports, with additional sanctions tied to India’s purchase of Russian oil. Despite this, New Delhi recognises the strategic importance of maintaining an open line of communication with Beijing.
