    This Onam, we have three Malayalam movies clashing at the box office. After Hridayapoorvam and Lokah, the next film released in theatres today (August 29) is Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira. Starring Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan, the film has been directed by Althaf Salim. Known for his witty on-screen presence and sharp comic timing, he stepped back into the director’s chair after nearly eight years. While he made a name for himself as a dependable actor in Malayalam cinema, fans have long been waiting to see him behind the camera again. His debut directorial was Nivin Pauly's Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela (2017).

    The film's opening credits confirm that Netflix has bagged the digital rights. Once it finishes its theatrical run, Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira will be available for streaming on the platform. This marks Kalyani Priyadarshan’s second Onam release this year, following her appearance in the superhero film Lokah.


    Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira opened just in time for the festive Onam season and brings together a lively ensemble cast. Along with Fahadh and Kalyani, the movie also features performances by Vinay Forrt, Revathi Pillai, Lal, Anuraj, and Dhyan Sreenivasan.
