Edmonton had built a 20-7 halftime advantage. Fajardo opened the scoring with a one-yard keeper in the second quarter before Javon Leake returned a punt 80 yards for a touchdown. Blanchard’s 31-yard field goal extended the lead.
The Elks struck first with a 33-yard field goal in the opening quarter. Ottawa’s struggles in first quarters continued, with only a single point scored in the opening frame across its last five games.
