Greece and Spain are both stunning countries that are definitely worth visiting. Unfortunately, many places in those popular holiday hotspots suffer from overtourism, especially in the peak summer months. But luckily for those who want to experience some peace and quiet, there might be an alternative that's even cheaper and better, according to some tourists.

Morocco has been described as a beautiful and budget-friendly destination that offers just as much charm and culture as its European rivals. With colourful cities, historic towns, and long stretches of beach, some say it even outshines Spain and Greece.

And accommodation is far cheaper too, with the average hotel in Morocco costing just €37 (£31) per night, compared to €74 (£62) in Spain.
