Process Improvement in a Compressor Valve Repair Shop with a Job Accumulation Problem using Six Sigma Quality Techniques
The job accumulation that is occurred at the affinity of the precision grinding machine is causing the work orders to past the due date. The oil and natural gas fields are most affected by the delay in the delivery. The operators in the valve repair shop are also affected by the job accumulation as they interrupt the continuous flow. The goal of this project is to increase the availability of the parts so that assembly line operators does not have to wait and the accumulation of job is avoided…

Recommendations on Improving Kluber Lubrication's Waste Management Process using Lean Techniques
The recommendation of team is a new process that implements checks to standardize the process and promote data capture to identify waste sources, amounts, and costs. Once identified, steps may be taken to reduce each of these points.

CD-adapco Project: Pipeline simulation approach from a 3D-CAD model to the post-processing of a parametric valve in Star-CCM+.
Study of fluid pressure distribution within a valve with valve angle as design parameter (first analysis at valve angle of zero degrees), Applying parametric change to the baseline case (valve angle of 20 degrees), visualization of pressure and velocity field in streamlines scalar scene. Models used: k-epsilon turbulence, segregated flow and two layer all y+ wall treatment models, etc.

Building Energy Simulation of engineering buildings located at University of Texas at Tyler using SketchUp and Openstudio.
Energy simulation with the assignment of loads and schedules of occupants, HVAC systems, and lighting systems, Calibrated the model using best approximation of schedules and data from actual utility bills, Compared and analyzed energy consumption in two buildings and proposed energy conservation strategies

Methodology to disaggregate residential energy consumption data obtained at 15-minute interval from a smart meter
-
Building energy savings from disaggregation can come from identifying opportunities in both equipment efficiency (repair and replacement) and operational efficiency (settings, use patterns, etc.). Experiential data from the smart meter has the potential to produce effective disaggregated energy consumption by end use categories. 15-minute interval increases the complexity of disaggregation and machine learning techniques and shape based approach is implemented in the analysis.
