Most companies are still treating AI as a technology rollout, but AI success is a people story. Without redesigning how work gets done and giving people the tools, time, and support to engage, AI adoption stalls before it creates real value. Here’s a closer look at what separates leaders from the rest in this latest Re:think by Drew Goldstein : https://mck.co/4cJKnqQ #AI #FutureOfWork #Leadership #Transformation

Most organizations aren’t struggling to pilot agentic AI. They’re challenged with making it matter. Agentic organizations are moving from concept to reality. As AI agents scale across workflows, they’re not only improving productivity—they're reshaping how organizations operate at their core. But translating that momentum into impact is where the real work begins. The challenge isn’t where to experiment, but how to translate early momentum into meaningful, measurable business impact. This shift now defines the leadership agenda. Realizing the full potential of agentic AI requires more than isolated use cases. It demands coordinated shifts across business models, operating structures, talent, technology, and leadership. Explore the 5 themes shaping the agentic organization—and what it takes to turn them into real impact: https://bit.ly/48986iJ #OrganizeToValue #AgenticAI #Transformation

AI is changing a lot about the way we work, but one thing it hasn’t changed is what people value the most. Research from McKinsey Partners, Sandra Durth, Julie Goran, and Bryan Hancock reveal two friction points that have emerged in the workforce: AI is changing the traditional early career model. With 51% of organizations reducing entry-level roles, there are fewer opportunities for those just starting out. Paradoxically, your most AI-savvy talent is also your highest attrition risk. These heavy users are 10% more likely to quit than non-users, fully aware that their skills are in high demand. Business leaders don’t need to reinvent the employee value proposition, but they must rethink how to protect their most vulnerable and most valuable segments. How do you help organizations improve how they run—turning culture and operations into a source of sustained impact? The Organizational Health Index (OHI) is helping strengthen how Propel operates as it scales support for nonprofits across Latin America. With only ~1% of global philanthropic capital flowing to the region, closing that gap is central to Propel’s mission. It’s a reminder that organizational health is the foundation that allows organizations to scale impact where it matters most. #OHIforNonprofits #OrganizationalHealth
Propel has a bold vision for its work in Latin America’s nonprofit sector: It aims to help 10,000 nonprofits accelerate their impact through the power of technology, close social gaps affecting 500 million people, and collectively mobilize $100 million in philanthropic capital for the region’s ecosystem. Having already helped 400+ nonprofits that reach 100 million+ people, Propel’s team is working to position itself for scale. Propel sees organizational culture as playing a critical role in driving its strategy. The team has participated in the McKinsey.org OHI for Nonprofits program over several years to gain fact-backed insight into its organization’s effectiveness, so it knows where it can both amplify its strengths and unblock opportunities to drive excellence. The results: Stronger communication, streamlined operations, and a culture rooted in continuous growth and development. Propel CEO and Co-Founder Claudia Belmont shares: "At Propel, we've learned that when our team is strong and aligned, we can better serve the nonprofits we support. The OHI helped us strengthen how we work, so we can scale our impact across Latin America." Thank you to the Propel team - including Claudia Belmont, Maria Fernanda Sierra Perea, Almendra Farah, and Génesis Orellana Taipe - for sharing your story of how organizational health supports your goals of helping ambitious nonprofits like TANI (Sara Maria Cifuentes Ramseyer, Catherine Cynthia Jara Rosales) and Kantaya (Yessica Flores) drive impact across Latin America. Across Europe, workforce transformation is gaining speed, but many organizations are still underestimating the pace of change. Shifting demographics and rapid technological advances are redefining what it takes to stay competitive. Insights from more than 8,000 employees and 1,000 employers show that innovation and AI are accelerating changes in skill demand, often faster than organizations are prepared to respond. Organizations that elevate skills, not roles, as a strategic priority will be better positioned to navigate what’s ahead.
