Two juveniles were dead, and three others were injured following a crash in Castaic, the California Highway Patrol said Thursday.
The collision was reported at around 2:56 p.m. on the northbound 5 Freeway at the Vista Del Lago exit near Pyramid Lake.

Two of the juveniles succumbed to their injuries despite life saving measures from first responders, according to CHP.
Three others were taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Three additional people were not injured, but they were taken to a hospital out of precaution, the CHP said.
The driver, 28-year-old Jorge Preciado, was arrested and booked for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence. Preciado's relationship to the juveniles is unclear.
Some of the lanes were closed during the investigation, but the scene was cleared by 5 p.m.
The cause of the crash was not immediately available and remains under investigation.
