The Sandy Fire in Simi Valley and the Bain Fire in Jurupa Valley continue to burn on Wednesday as firefighters continue their efforts to contain the fires.
Residents who were urged to evacuate and are seeking shelter for themselves and their animals have a few options.

Those evacuating from the Sandy Fire and seeking an overnight stay can find shelter at the Rancho Santa Susana Community Park located at 5005 E Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley.
For those with small domestic animals seeking shelter from the Sandy Fire, they can find shelter at the Simi Valley Animal Shelter located at 670 W Los Angeles Avenue or the Camarillo Animal Shelter located at 600 Aviation Drive. Both shelters are located in Simi Valley.
For those with large animals including horses and livestock seeking shelter from the Sandy Fire, a shelter is available at the Ventura County Fairgrounds located at 10 E Harbor Blvd. in the city of Ventura.
For information on animal evacuations, residents can call the Ventura County Animal Services at 805-388-4341.
