Rubina Dilaik recalls Abhinav financial struggles
In the latest episode, Rubina recounted a time when Abhinav was facing a difficult financial period, yet he managed to save up just enough to buy her a simple birthday gift, a handbag. At the time, Rubina admitted, she was initially disappointed with the modest gift, going as far as to judge his choice, unaware of the love and sacrifice behind it.Later, when Abhinav revealed that he doesn't have 'money' and sacrificed his savings to buy the bag and make her feel special despite his struggles, Rubina was left overwhelmed with guilt and emotion. "All my luxury bags are kept on one side, and that special bag is zip-locked and kept extremely safe. It will always be my most priceless possession," Rubina shared on the show. The moment captured not just the couple’s emotional growth, but also the depth of respect and appreciation they hold for each other.
Now, Rubina is celebrated as a powerhouse performer in Indian television, while Abhinav has made his mark with noteworthy roles in various TV shows and films. Their relationship has grown stronger over the years, built on a foundation of friendship, admiration, and shared struggles.
The couple tied the knot on June 21, 2018, after several years of dating. They are now proud parents to twin baby girls. In a thoughtful decision, the couple chose to raise their daughters in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, with Rubina’s parents. This was a conscious move to offer their children a cleaner, grounded, and nature-connected upbringing away from the city chaos.
Although their primary base is in Himachal, both Rubina and Abhinav frequently travel to Mumbai for work, striking a healthy balance between their professional commitments and personal values.
