Real American Freestyle Wrestling (RAF) will honor the late Hulk Hogan with a video tribute at its inaugural event in Cleveland. RAF CEO Chad Bronstein emphasised Hogan's integral role in the league. The event, in partnership with WWE, features Wyatt Hendrickson facing Mostafa Aly Elsayed Gabr Elders. Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle will commentate, a role suggested by Hogan.

Real American Freestyle Wrestling will pay tribute to late commissioner Hulk Hogan with a special video presentation during its inaugural event Saturday at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland. Hogan, who helped catapult the World Wrestling Federation (WWE) into mainstream pop culture in the 1980s, died July 24 at age 71.

RAF co-founder and CEO Chad Bronstein said Hogan’s presence will remain central to the league’s identity. "He was super proud," Bronstein said. "He’s been a great friend, mentor and business partner. His voice will always be a part of this league."

According to news agency AP, the tribute is being produced in partnership with WWE, with which RAF shares close ties. WWE owns a 10% stake in Real American Beer, RAF’s title sponsor, which Bronstein also co-founded. "We’re not competing with them," he said. "They’re very supportive. This is a different kind of group."

Saturday night will also feature familiar wrestling figures with Wyatt Hendrickson to face Egypt’s Mostafa Aly Elsayed Gabr Elders in the main event. Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle, a WWE legend from the early 2000s, will serve as commentator - a role Hogan himself suggested. Former WWE personalities Jimmy Hart and John 'Bradshaw' Layfield are also slated to take part.
