Synopsis
Moscow targeted Kyiv's cabinet building for the first time since the war began, as confirmed by Ukraine's Prime Minister. A mass drone and missile attack on the capital resulted in at least two fatalities, including a one-year-old child. Residential buildings in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts were also struck by Russian drone debris.
Russia launched a mass drone and missile attack on Ukraine' capital, killing at least two people and injuring 15 others. Among the dead was a one-year-old child, whose body was dug out of the rubble, said Tymur Tkachenko, the head of Kyiv's city administration.
Further, Russian drone debris struck a nine-story residential building in Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi district and a four-storey residential building in Darnytskyi district, said Mayor Vitallii Klitschko.
Sunday's attack is the second mass Russian drone and missile attack to target Kyiv in the span of two weeks. This comes only weeks after Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Alaska for talk with American President Donald Trump.
