Judge blocks Trump from ending legal protections for 1 mn illegal aliens | US immigration crackdown
A federal judge in San Francisco ruled on Friday that President Donald Trump's administration violated federal law by moving to cancel temporary protections from deportation for more than 1 million Venezuelans and Haitians living in the United States. U.S. District Judge Edward Chen said that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem lacked the authority to end the program, known as Temporary Protected Status or TPS, and the decision to do so was motivated by racism against Venezuelan and Haitian people.
