SBI clerk 2025 prelims exam dates released: Check the dates, eligibility criteria, application process and exam pattern

The State Bank of India (SBI) has officially released the tentative schedule for the Preliminary Examination of the SBI Clerk (Junior Associate) Recruitment 2025. Candidates who have successfully completed the registration process can access the examination details on the Bank’s official website at sbi.co.in.

This year’s recruitment drive aims to fill 5,180 vacancies for the post of Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales), offering a significant employment opportunity for aspirants seeking careers in the banking sector.

SBI Clerk 2025: Tentative examination dates

According to the official notification, the Preliminary Examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on September 20, 21, and 27, 2025. The Main Examination is expected to take place in November 2025. The link to download call letters for the prelims will be made available shortly on the Bank’s website.

SBI Clerk eligibility criteria

Candidates intending to appear for the examination must fulfil the following eligibility conditions:

• Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years of age as on April 1, 2025 (i.e., born between April 2, 1997, and April 1, 2005, inclusive).
  
  
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  
  
  • Candidates pursuing an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) must ensure the date of passing falls on or before December 31, 2025.
    
    
  • Final-year/semester students are eligible to apply provisionally, subject to submission of proof of graduation by December 31, 2025.
    
    

SBI Clerk 2025: Application process

The online application window for SBI Clerk 2025 closed on August 26, 2025. All applications were submitted exclusively through the official SBI recruitment portal. Only those candidates who completed the registration successfully will be permitted to appear for the preliminary examination.

SBI Clerk 2025: Examination pattern

The SBI Clerk Recruitment 2025 process comprises two phases:

1. Preliminary Examination – Tentatively scheduled for September 20, 21, and 27, 2025
   
   
2. Main Examination – Expected to be conducted in November 2025
