  • Scale in the nonprofit sector is getting harder to achieve alone. In a fragmented veteran ecosystem, two organizations chose to merge, applying private sector M&A rigor to double their funding base and expand to 60 locations. Leaders are shifting from standalone programs to integrated platforms built to scale impact. https://mck.co/4eSylxV

  • 81% of health system C-suite leaders say their operating model isn't working. The systems pulling ahead are doing three things differently: 1️⃣Centralizing strategy without cutting local execution 2️⃣Shrinking bloated committee structures 3️⃣Putting the right talent in the roles that actually move the needle Here's how the highest-performing systems are making the shift. https://mck.co/4eTdc6T

    • Three key areas for successful health system operating models: organizational structure, ways of working, and talent & culture.
  • Most companies treat the technology budget as a cost to manage. The ones pulling ahead treat it as a strategic lever — aligning every dollar to ROI, bringing tech leaders into business decisions early, and keeping run costs lean enough to actually fund AI, cloud, and modernization. Two-thirds of top-performing companies have their technology leaders very involved in enterprise strategy. Here's how leading organizations are making that shift. https://mck.co/4t41AkU

  • From the comedy club to the boardroom, some laughs turn into ideas. And some ideas change the game. Fabio Porchat shared lessons from his transformational journey during the Brilliant Moves: Live event in Brazil, where he offered a powerful perspective: ideas only endure when they are grounded in real life and people. In his reflection, he noted that his journey was not only defined by his successes, but that failures also brought clarity, recalibrated his direction, and created space for bolder decisions. This mindset extends to building teams as well. “In the end, it’s people connecting with people.” Without connection, there is no timing. Without timing, there is no impact. Surrounding yourself with exceptional people—those with different perspectives and a willingness to challenge—is not just a leadership choice; it’s a requirement for growth. Looking ahead, one question lingered: with each generation, humor reinvents itself. “What I can’t stop thinking about is: what is this next ‘new’?” For Porchat, the next brilliant moves start there: with authenticity, courage, human connection—and, of course, a sense of humor.

  • The organizations making the most progress in AI are doing less, with intent. They’re focusing on 2–3 high-impact bets, building capability that sticks, and scaling what works before moving on. The results speak for themselves: ~20% EBITDA uplift and faster returns than most thought possible. In a recent #McKinseyLive, Rob Levin and Kate Smaje unpack what it takes to reimagine the enterprise with AI: https://lnkd.in/eCDXye2w
