The moon is still mooning, marvelously, and space is still incomprehensively vast and while there've been countless changes in the cosmos since April of this year, both teeny and tremendous, plenty of earthlings remain completely besotted with a space trip that changed lives, both beyond our atmosphere and here on our home planet.
Many, many lives: It's the Artemis II mission we're rhapsodizing about, that spin around the moon that gave earthbound humans fresh views as to what is astronomically up with our lunar satellite, including parts of it we've never seen before.

WATCH HEREThe Artemis II crew became like family to many captivated earthlings during the epic lunar fly-by, a 10-day mission that began at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida on April 1 and concluded with smooth ocean splashdown not far from San Diego April 11.
Since the incredible mission concluded, space fans have seen members of the crew — Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, Mission Specialist Christina Koch, and Mission Specialist Jeremy Hansen — speak about their experiences aboard the Orion spacecraft, and how it felt to view the moon at such close range.
Now members of the crew will call upon the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts Aug. 4 for the Artemis II Celebration presented by NASA.
The event "... will feature members from the Artemis II mission who will present highlights from their journey around the moon, images of breathtaking views, footage from their trip, and a Q&A with the audience," shared the center.
The evening begins at 7 o'clock and tickets, while free, should be reserved via the center's site.
