India receives Airbus C-295 military transport aircraft from Spain
India has received the final C-295 aircraft from Airbus, Spain. This delivery completes the initial order of 16 aircraft. The Indian Air Force will replace its Avro aircraft with these. A contract for 56 C-295MW transport aircraft was signed in 2021. The remaining 40 aircraft will be manufactured in India by TATA Advanced Systems Limited in Gujarat.
